You probably just listened to their most in your face songs. They have many different sides to them and I think I have some songs that you would like. -Maniac ( upbeat song with a good mix of vocals and rap with a middle eastern inspired beat) -Topline ( rap heavy song featuring the pioneer of rap in korea) -Get Cool ( song from their early days with a fun summer vibe) -Ex ( toned down slower song that is heavy in the vocals) -Cover Me ( sad, soft song with guitar and amazing vocals, there is no music video so I recommend looking up a color coded lyric video) -Back Door ( fun and almost funky song with a really nice bass) -Venom ( dark song with a really cool beat) For Maniac and Venom there is a really good live performance that has both songs in one. This is the link ( I will warn you about a possible copyright strike with this one) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0QKhAdN-keY.htmlsi=xYCLQE4BZm8YZQID And for the last song, I recommend their newest single Lose My Breath that they wrote with Charlie Puth. The music video is good but there is also a live version from the Kelly Clarkson Show that is a Stray Kids only version. ❤❤❤
I heavily recommend reacting to blood sweat and tears by bts and impossible by riize. I believe these are such a great songs to start diving into bgs. since riize is known for defying genre boundaries. You will like it if ur into house music.
I love NiziU! They debuted through JYP’s Japanese survival show called Nizi project (same company as Stray Kids/SKZ). JYP also recently made a boy group named NEXZ through Nizi project season 2, which is the same show but for males. If you want you can react to their South-Korean debut song called ‘Heartris’, where they debuted in Korea. (you can also spot SKZ’s Felix/the deep voiced guy as a guest in the M/V) This might seem confusing but they already debuted in Japan in 2020 with the song ‘Step and a step’ BUT they made a debut Korea debut in 2023 with the song ‘Heartris’.
there’s a number of things i’d like to explain so here’s me nerding out over skz 1- in the chorus, as they do the dance move that looks like throwing ingredients into a pot, they say “this is our TANG TANG TANG TANG” and tang is basically the korean sound effect for things plopping 2- they make all their music themselves, so they literally “cook” their music 3- their discography is FULLL of different types of music and that’s why they keep saying no one can resist their “menu” 4- they always got hate for making “construction music” which basically means their music is loud and noisy, so including a construction site in the video is basically saying “and what about it?” 5- cool fun fact: after this song was released it impacted the new generation of kpop groups heavily and many groups started making noisy music and even hiring the director of the god’s menu music video to replicate the effect it had 6- they actually have lore, they used to delve into it a lot more before 2020 but it still exists so there are a couple easter eggs in their music videos
Stray Kids' 'God's Menu' is a high-energy track that serves up a metaphorical feast of the group's musical prowess and unique style. The song uses the analogy of cooking and a restaurant menu to express the group's confidence in their ability to satisfy any listener's taste, just as a chef would with a diverse and delicious menu. The lyrics suggest that whatever you choose from their 'menu,' it will gratify all five senses, emphasizing the group's versatility and appeal. The repeated references to cooking and culinary terms ('Cooking a sauce,' 'Cookin' like a chef,' 'five star Michelin') highlight the meticulous and creative process of making music, akin to crafting a gourmet dish. The song's chorus, with its catchy 'Du-du-du-du-du-du' hook, reinforces the idea of a signature dish that's uniquely theirs. Stray Kids assert their originality and the fact that they are 'one of a kind,' unable to be replicated by others. This is a bold statement of their identity and ambition in the competitive world of K-pop. The song also touches on themes of innovation and breaking boundaries ('cross boundaries'). Stray Kids convey that they are not confined by the usual constraints of the music industry, instead choosing to create sounds as if they are 'creating' them anew. This reflects their desire to constantly evolve and push the limits of their artistry. 'God's Menu' is a declaration of Stray Kids' distinctiveness and a testament to their commitment to delivering fresh and impactful music to their fans. (sorry for requesting so much, the song also talks about stray kids and how they have so much to offer, INCLUDING SOFTER SONGS, which you’re more into lol.)
@@kitty.lixiee i meant his community posts 😃 shorts unrelated to k-pop 😃 his other videos which are not k-pop centered 😃 besides, yes stray kids are k-pop but the og comments were referring to this behavior, to comment every SINGLE content he puts out. _also I said _*_posts_*_ not _*_videos_*_ in the first place_ did you study text comprehension in school? or? 😃
every kpop group has it's own vibe , no matter male or female groups. stray kids has a stronger or more louder sound while other groups like , exo or like riize have more of like the chill vibes. Also those are only the title tracks , stray kids has some really good b sides that are also a lot of diffrent genres.
Honestly, they might just not be your style! Like, they do have softer music, I really like Cover Me by them, Red Lights is often requested but it's real sus lmao, Waiting For Us, etc. I think their main draw is how eccentric they are. They love fun songs (Maknae On Top is just a goofy song about the youngest member acting like he's tough to the oldest of the group and another older member.) But you don't need to love them or their music cause everyone's got their tastes!
Funny how so many comments are pushing you away from Stray Kids (SKZ) “oh listen to them instead!” I wonder why that is! 😏 All 8 can sing, rap, dance, compose, produce, which is rare. You are comparing a girl group’s fashion from 2024 to a boy group’s fashion from 2020. Know that a member is a global embassador for Versace, another is a house ambassador for Louis Vuitton, another ambassador for Gucci and more. Makeup- No matter which boy group you listen to they all wear makeup. You get used to it. Voices- Comments seem to say SKZ only do heavy music but they do beautiful ballads as well. Choreography- The 2 mv’s you watched do not show their choreography or dancing talent, the mv are more focused on telling a story. Watch their dance practices, when performing live they can do both dance and sing. One of the main dancers is called by the media the Performance Leader of Kpop. Unlike many groups, SKZ make all of their music which is why it’s not even a (car race), they are unique. However if you prefer female MVs go for it. I’ll be here on your next SKZ reaction if there are any.
I haven't seen a comment explaining the race scenes so here is the explanation. In the lyrics they talk about how they aren't competing with anyone because it is there own game or in other words they are running their own race. In the construction scene they are constructing their own genre/songs. With the science lab they are experimenting with music. Hope this helps! ❤
If you ever feel stuck or do not understand what you’re watching/seeing, I would recommend watching Jordan Orme. He’s a professional music video editor, and he’s good at breaking down the story behind a video and the editing choices that have been made! He’s reacted to several KPOP music videos, and I think he would be really helpful in solidifying your understanding of why stray kids or other groups do what they do! 😭 As a Stay, I understand the struggle, and I watch many of his videos, which really help me! :))
Watching people react to Felix in gods menu will never get old. In some of stray kids, B-sides they sing like secret secret, silent cry, and other songs, but they are mostly rappers. I NEED you to react to funny stray kids moments, especially Chan and Felix because we love our Aussie members
Yeah, lipsyncing is common in K-pop. I remember chan (a member of skz) went live once and started talking abt it. He said some music shows prefer for groups to use backtrack. He also watched a few of their performances to tell people which and which parts were live/lipsync/backtrack overuse. He also said skz as a group prefer to sing live. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-NXzkoA_qsfI.htmlsi=OjyKlR9y159IaaWd Here's a video of it if you're interested A good live skz performance I recommended is Gods DduDuDduDu (a mashup of DduDuDduD by blackpink and gods menu). This was for a competition show called kingdom. There is also no captions unfortunately
Someone else already ,entioned the lip syncing vs live vocals. But to elaborate what I’ve seen is that a lot of the overtly high energy chores isn’t maintainable from video to live performance so I think that’s part of why you see a decline in some bands (regardless male or female) whereas SKZ literally does 3 hour concerns with the exact same choreography from video to live performance. They also do live vocals, it depending on the venue the back track can sometimes overpower and they will still find ways to show you they’re no lip syncing (since the vocals on the back tracks are predominantly backing vocals and not the main lines. Felix (he of the deep voice) has done ASMR before and in a recent interview stated he’d love to do narration of all sorts which, considering he’s Australian (so Korean is actually his second language) means he’s got a lot of opportunities for that and he generally does handle narration for stuff the group does. The cultural differences I’ve been finding refreshingly fun to view and part of why I’ve fallen for this group in particular is their authenticity. They’re chaos incarnate in the absolute best of ways and the storylines in their songs and content is robust which certainly does make things confusing for someone catching up (as I’m doing, too!)
if you prefer softer/chiller songs, i recommend "cover me" "there" "on track" "ex" "mixtape: oh" "#lovestay" "24 to 25" maybe "winter falls" "youtiful" "leave" "lose my breath".
I get what you mean with liking female groups more, I also agree that their fashion (especially XG) is just *chefs kiss* and the singing is often great. But if it is singing that you want to hear more, you should really really really check out EXO! I feel like this will be a group for you, they have the best (male) voices in the industry as well as great choreography. I recommend Cream Soda (their latest single), Love Shot and Tempo!
Cooking refers to making music, race cars refer to competing, and scientists refer to experimenting with different musical sounds. It can go more into depth depending on how you interpret different lyrics and visuals in the mv but that's the basis of the visuals.
okay okay so theyre at a construction site because at the time theyve been getting a lot of backslash for their music sounding like construction music (loud and annoying) or noise music in a negative way so they kinda made it part of them as a jab to the haters . they also got hate for their songs being "noisy" so they made an entire album called "noeasy" with the word noisy highlighted in the album cover sndjajs😭 and when you say noeasy fast it sounds like noisy !
AHHHH yas a sequal so basically stray kids songs have some kinda story line thats the only way i can explain lmao- its a combination of the chef or idk like restaurant type thing a racing track most of straykids songs have a lot of story line and things and yea it might be difficult to understand but slowly u will get used to it in 3:30 u saw felix hes known for his deep voice and yea he did do asmr like once
10:19 in response to the question of performance, yes, lip syncing is often in kpop because they dance and sing at the same time. So if you want to see a great performance you have to look at groups that do not lipsync often. Overall I would say that Twice, BTS and EXO are the groups that (almost) always sing live and give it their all. I would recommend you to watch the concert performances, for Twice: Perfect world, for EXO: Wolf, for BTS: pied piper or ddeang. All great songs as well!
Well STRAY KIDS, are ALWAYS singing live, en that's what made me love them even more I won't say about other groups coz I don't know much about the BIT SKZ ,
Cool fact: The girls on 6:31 were members of a girl group called "NiziU" under the same company, but when the MV for Gods Menu dropped, they hadn't debuted yet.
Stray Kids has something for everyone, but that doesn't mean they're everyone's cup of tea. They're self-produced, and they've dealt with a lot of pushback during the early years of their career. Their music was called noise music, but it's their way to embrace their uniqueness. I fell in love with their music, then with Ateez's music as well -- two groups who are somehow both similar yet very, very different. I like my music noisy, which is why I lean toward them as opposed to other groups. I haven't seen many of your videos, so I'm not sure what your tastes lean towards, making it difficult for me to make recommendations. Whatever you like, though, I hope you're enjoying the KPop rabbit hole.
I think you will like lose my breath, maniac, case 143 , social path etc. These are singing . Ik you would like all their dance. Psycho cover by hyunjin of stray kids is a really famous and for me amazing.
When I first watched this mv, my take was they aren’t racing with anyone else to win or compete, they are just experimenting on their own style of music and constructing their at their own music from ground up, because they are a self produce group. Hope that helps. For girl group usually they are very packaged, not many girl group is self produce so usually there’s a concept when a company make a group.
here’s the thing about stray kids, you have to kind of ease into it because they are a kind of experimental group and their sound is an acquired taste. i absolutely love them, but i started listening to MANIAC and so did my best friend, and i think that’s definitely a song that a lot of people like whether they like stray kids sound or not. LALALALA and Gods Menu have a lot going on in the music video and song in general so i think you’ll like MANIAC better, that’s my personal recommendation
The deep voiced guy is called Felix, he did do asmr (idk if he still does) and he is the same guy that had blue hair in LALALALA! If you want to check out more of stray kids i recommend Slump(japanese version) and MIROH💪🏻
I’m crying, stray kids is really out there, you seem to like the slower vocal heavy songs. So if you ever want to give their other songs a chance, I recommend “Scars” and “Ex”, more slow and vocal heavy, also simpler videos with more obvious themes. I also recommend “Social Path ft LiSA”, “Mixtape: OH”, and/or “The Sound”, also are slower songs but with a good vocal/rap mix and videos are also not as chaotic. As for the question at the end, for the girl group choreographies, they don’t usually lipsync, newjeans is just more in the newer side as well as very young so I think they tend to be a bit more nervous. but girlgroup choreographies do have a tendency to not be as “powerful”, they tend to be more soft and simple. It’s just how it is over there. Even the groups that have more “powerful” choreos, their focus is on having a lot of synchronization and cleanliness, if that makes sense? Like groups such as Itzy and Twice are praised for their choreos because of how synchronized they are and their stage presence while performing. I personally really like their choreos, and both mentioned groups are worth checking out.
If you want to hear their singing skills, listen to Lose my breath, Cover me and Taste (Lee know, Hyunjin, Felix) Please I highly recommend those songs Pleasee
If you are looking for a strong girl group then I would recommend Nmixx!!! They are probably the most stable live, both vocal and dance/ performance girl group.
@@anataaaraki No,because you are new to Stray Kids, I thought you would like to know they have a huge fan base of all nationalities and ages and we enjoy the huge genre of music they write and produce. They write all sorts of music that you actually might enjoy. ☺️
The best thing you have to listen to is SKZ!! This is one of their best songs, all their music is written and created by them, 3Racha is called the production team, the leader Chan, Chanbing and Han, the last two are rappers and excellent lyricists. Lee Know is the Main dancer and with Hyunjin and Félix (the one with the deep voice) they make up Dance Racha. And the vocal line is made up of Seungmin and I.N. The eight participate in everything they create and have melodic songs with incredible vocals, I recommend that you follow their official page. They are the group of the moment. Oh, everyone has done ASMR. I recommend the latest Lose My Breath, LALALA and S-Class; also Super Bowl (they did it with God Menu but in the end they didn't remove it at that time). Megaverse is and Social Path great songs. And the old themes Maniac, Thunderous, Back Door, Venom, Side Effects and Domino. They have many great themes!!
it’s totally acceptable that their music is not for you, they do have softer songs. if you’d like to hear what they can do vocally i’d recommend cover me! kpop performances tend to be wishy washy. some groups are really good performers and some aren’t, some just have off days which i think was the case for new jeans. i’ve seen good performances from them but im not a huge fan so idk them in particular. this music video was made as a response to their main criticism being that they make noise music. it’s their way of embracing it, so all of the settings are really noisy places (a construction site, a chaotic kitchen, a lab, a race track etc). it was a direct response to hate bc the main things ppl would say was that their music sounds like pots and pans, construction music, just loud 😭
I think that you would probably like ATEEZ’s concept, they’re really cool. Not too long ago they had a comeback, the best song in that album is “WORK” pls listen !! One of their other popular songs is also called “BOUNCY” (Btw I love how you actually LISTEN and don’t call this genre “trash” just bcs its K-Pop, thank u !!) 🙏
If you looking for more heavy raping focus song I would suggest: Muddy Water, The Tortoise and the Hare, 3 Racha by 3 Racha and so many more. For softer sounding songs I would suggest Cover me, Leave, Winter Falls, Lonely St. Slump, Levanter, Voices and so many more
The way you got me cackling when you said you dont like bgs as much😭 starting off w stray kids was not a good idea im myself a more of a gg fan for the same reasons but theres some decent bgs too i guess😹
You should react to riize there a newer group and there songs are really good I recommend listening to “get a guitar”, or “love 119” since it’s one of there more well known songs or there recent song “boom boom bass” it’s really good
Felix (deep voice guy) actually does some asmr on lives but idk if he still does it. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-YUa4u_Z_8KE.htmlsi=ngboDDWjtPwx7cca
If you tell us the genre you like, we will recommend you that kinda songs. Some STAYs recommend most famous songs. I hope you give stray kids another listen.
@@Davis-uo2bh I think so too but he isn't into kpop yet so I think if he is a little more experienced in kpop, he will definitely like it. I think back door is likable for non kpop fans, it has Michael Jackson kind of vibe.
@@anataaarakinahh.. you are free whether you want to listen to skz or not. yes they have tons of genres and since they produce their own then all of their songs has specific signature of 3racha(the producer team inside skz). if u dont like their signatures you probably won’t like them at all. it’s ok if you give up on them. i personally dont like any negativity toward skz music cos it can makes them have to conform to the majority rules! i prefer skz as they are: FREE AND AUTHENTIC and we as Stay will be here for it. No need to make them become like another more public friendly groups, who have to hire experienced producers to make trendy songs so that they can capture general public interest! we like them the way they are. So if u dont like their sounds it is wiser to move to another group. we already know since the beginning that their musics are not for everyone, thus they called themselves the STRAY kids not the obedient kids nor the trendy kids. They are the Stray one!! but thanks for reacting btw, really appreciate that.. cheers
girl groups can also have a very loud approach just like stray kids. A lot of people compare them to Gidle, or some of aespas songs. But you'll also see groups like Illit, which are very similar in music styles to Newjeans- Try listening to magnetic by illit, its soft and fun and they have a concept just like newjeans! 🫧
Can you react to TXT’s Puma or Deja Vu Or can you do Enhypen Drunk Daze or Sacrifice Btw if you want some Stray kids (skz) recommendations to react to I would say Hellevator or Easy 👍🩷✌️😛
Their menu is all their songs. This song just means if one song isn't your thing, don't worry there's more to choose from, so give them a TASTE(great song by the way😉) My heart stopped when he said their dance choreo is flat😳😱 I love their dances. I have a whole Playlist dedicated just to their dance practices 😅 I hope you'll check out their live stage performance from the Kingdom show where they combined their God's Menu with black pink's ddu ddu du.
Bro, I know what you mean with the live performances, I realize 3rd gen(2013-2018) girl groups put more effort into their live stages(most of them atleast) not to say the 4th and 5th gen idols don't(4th gen 2019-2022/23 and 5th gen 2023/4-????) Give it their all their just less experienced and focus more on looks and aesthetics and dancing than the earlier girl groups. Some noteworthy groups who give it their all are twice(3rd gen), kiss of life(5th gen), itzy(4th gen), gidle(3rd gen), and mamamoo(3rd gen) . Saying this it slightly the same for boy groups, though the guys I feel(maybe not stronger) focus more on energy and foot work than female idols who focus more on arm work and some(barely) hip work. The agency they debuted under also plays a factor in their abilities as well. Like JYP has strong dancers and singers, hype has strong dancers and rappers(though thenew gen are weak in the vocal area some when performing live but they learn with time), SM may be slave drivers but their idols are well trained a strong in most areas some lack stage presence however and I feel like its the same with YG. Anyways could you react to BTS Fake Love and TXT Run Away
Stray kids give clues throughout or toward end of their Music Videos at times for STAYS. "God’s Menu" Clue left toward end of Music Video for next Video to watch after watching God's Menu.
STRAY KIDS KPOP is a UNIQUE group. .. They are different from most other KPop. They are very talented. I like uniqueness. ...Because it won't be boring. Love STRAY KIDS ❤❤
I think you’d like TXT’s music the most out of all BG’s bcz their music is most similar to GG’s in my opinion Here are some recommendations: - sugar rush ride -runaway - crown - deja vu
lip syncing happens alotttt with kpop. sometimes its live but with heavy backtrack. sometimes its a live prerecording which they lip sync over. and sometimes its live. this due to a bunchhh of things. 1. they dance a lot so to mask how shaky their voice gets or how out of breath they are they use heavy backtracks 2. performances on music shows like musicbank, inkigayo, M Countdown etc are usually lip synced or with heavy backtrack because the focus is on the visual performance rather than their vocal performance. so thats when the dance will be more on point. 3. usually for live performances as in live events for a festival or something, they sing live, but there are definitely groups that dont 4. rappers are almost always rapping live. i rarely see them lip sync 5. concerts are also almost always live. usually its a compromise of the two. if the focus i on visuals, so dancing and looking pretty while doing it, they step back from the vocals. and when the focus on delivering high quality live vocals, they’ll step back a bit from dancing. there are a few groups, that from my memory, are live most of the time. ATEEZ being one that stands out to me. not a fan of all of their music but they deliver HEAVILY on both dance AND vocals. and they are rarely lip syncing. another group I remember is MAMAMOO. they are categorized as a pretty legendary vocal group. they do dance and have some songs that are heavier on the dance, but most of their discography is focused on their vocal performance. their dances are usually less intense, but always fun! Gidle i think?? are often live?? i know their rapper definitely is always live straykids from what i can remember also deliver on both live vocals and dance at the same time, although im not sure if they always do. thats what i can remember from the top of my head.
Keep up the good content! It sucks that other people are commenting on your unrelated post to react to things. If you want a more vocal boy group to react to I recommend EXO, especially Tempo or Call Me Baby. You’ve honestly been so respectful and not negative in reactions and very open to K-pop! Can’t wait to see more reactions and other types of videos on your channel!!!
Boy groups are overall known for better live performances since the big focus is energy and hype, companies prioritize girl group's image, facial expressions/beauty more which makes lipsync very popular to avoid ruining the 'perfect' image
When K-pop groups perform for promotion (on music shows) they usually will lip-sync so that they can have a stage with no mistakes. They also perform all week or for 3 weeks when promoting, so it wouldn't be possible to sing on all stages without hurting the throat. When groups perform at concerts, they'll typically sing live (some may not, depending on if their throat isn't doing well that day or it could just be choice by them or the company) but they will tone down the strength of their dancing some so that their voices aren't so shaky. Dancing while singing is a very complex skill, so it's understandable to lip-sync sometimes. Even American artists who don't dance lip-sync sometimes depending on their condition that day. But, yes, many groups lip-sync quite a lot (for promotions esp) Some groups lip-sync more than others which may be dependent on their/their company's choice for promoting well, how difficult the choreo of that specific song is, or based on the talent of that particular group/member to sing while dancing.
Bro, you are very similar to me, while being a kpopers for -+5 years, there are only a few boy groups that I like. Please react to Girlgroup "IVE" especially in their songs like Eleven, I Am, After Like, Heya, Love Dive, etc. OMG that's a lot hahaha but trust me you will love them🥹.
I wish i knew which kind of music you would like from them so i could better recommend but a few of my top favorite are: TOP, EASY, COVER ME, SLUMP, CIRCUS, THUNDEROUS, MANIAC and many more but I'm stop there😅. Even if you only find one song you like from them i hope you'll keep reacting to their work😊
The male groups that i think you would like their songs is txt and enhypen. From txt i recommend you Deja vu and I know i love you. And for enhypen i recommend you Drunk dazed and tamed dashed
MY BROOO U ABSOLUTELY NEED TO REACT TO ENHYPEN!! ESPECIALLY GIVEN TAKEN AND DRUNK DAZED, THEIR LORE IS CRAZY!! AND DONT FORGET ENG CAPTIONS AHAHA BECUZ U COULD MISS A LOT IN THE BLINK OF AN EYE, ITS SO GOOD!!
Their music videos look like that because they have a lore that is difficult to understand if you don't watch videos or read paragraphs explaining the lore.😭😭
Could you react to Red Velvet ‘Chill Kill’ or their new release ‘Cosmic’? They have a hauntingly beautiful concept, usually a little creepy. I think you’d like their vibe as they’re more of a vocal group than a rap one. (Plus their visuals are always interesting).
Day 5: stray kids= s Class, social path and Aespa= black mamba. The deep voice is felix in lalala he had blue hair. Alot of kpop groups lipsing but stray kids don't and kpop groups have to preform 100% for like 3 hours and dont get a long break always singing and dancing. BTW CARRYING YALPING ITS FUN TO LISTEN TO
stray kids music that has the simplest mv's and that you can appreciate more without much information and changes of scenery can be megaverse and top line!
You said use decorum, so I will. Please react to “Kiss Of Life”. You should definitely react to “Bad News”, “Shhh”, and “Sugar Coat” a solo song by Natty, one of the members.
I understand being confused I would definitely recommend looking at the bts of their videos on their YT channel if you more curious about the meaning behind certain videos or their album intros that they do for all albums.
