hey, I know I'm commenting a bit late but I can never get pontiff to stagger with the single hit after his explosion (at 1:09:04), I got the exact same build and everything. can you tell why? (playing on game version 1.15)

@@alcog9624 cause its not an out of bounds or smth like that. If you look up precisely youll see that i bounce off that wall that is invisible at the moment
6:09:45 if you kill the mimic boss, the teleporter that appears in the boss room puts you right next to this site of grace, so you don't need to grab it first then go to the mimic bossfight
@@Siegbruh In the actual patch notes when it got fixed it's labelled as a "Bug fix" not a nerf as you can see here: "Fixed a bug that caused the Rolling Sparks Skill to deal more damage than expected. Fixed a bug that caused the Rolling Sparks and Wall of Sparks Skills to deal no damage while some special effects were applied to the player. Fixed a bug that caused the Lightning Perfume Bottle and Frenzyflame Perfume Bottle weapons to deal double damage under certain circumstances." You can double check the website but this is why I am questioning it as the item was not intended to do that much damage and is only caused by a bug meaning this run would be considered glitched.

@@Siegbruh Well first thing if you are going by official rules this run would be invalid since its downpatching on top of that most the rules haven't been updated since before shadow of the erdtree since there are no categories for it in particular. Also I don't care if people use it all i'm saying it would be considered a glitch run
Hit enter by accident but one last thing, glitches like Carian retaliation doing stupid damage and even the old sober 7 glitches are not allowed so I don't see why bugged rolling sparks are
also wouldn't margit's shackle help to save some time? you can use it on a lot of catacombs and caves to break illusory walls and to activate those flamethrower pillars at a distance, so you wouldn't have to wait for the cycle. also you can use it in the dlc to break the stones that block some of those horse wind jump pad things and save the time it takes to find the stones then run back to the jump pad. surely that would result in saving more time than the 30-40 seconds it takes to run into patches's cave to collect his ball bearing and then going back to roundtable hold to purchase the shackle? there's a lot of flame pillars you could make go away in some catacombs you know
@@Siegbruh you could instead use mohg's shackle, because its literally on the way to a boss, but that one doesn't have too much range so I don't know if it would actually be helpful
@@Siegbruh yeah margit has massive range, for example you could use it once at the entrance of sage's cave (where you get raptor claws) and it opens all illusory walls instantly. From what I understand the range on mohg shackle is only about the same size of mohg's arena if not smaller, but I never use it so I don't really know for sure, because margit's is just the superior choice
when you first speak to ranni, you only need to speak once to each of her servants (no need to exhaust their dialogue, just complete the first dialogue with them) then you can just sit at the bonfire to be able to fast travel, instead of going up the elevator a second time to speak to ranni again to unlock fast travel
