RU-vid decided to destroy this channel. So I'm going to close it in a few days. All new videos will be posted on the new one! Here it is: bit.ly/subscribe-naska-eng2
I don't remember shedding so many tears from a RU-vid video. I started following you a couple of days ago and I'm amazed at how much information and knowledge you give. To get all of this from someone who is actually racing and good at it is amazing. So, I started going over all your videos, and today I got to this one. I'm blown away. It is so, so, so good - how it is done, the video, the music, and most of all, the story. It's incredibly inspiring to witness the culmination of your hard work and dedication paying off in such a dramatic fashion. Your storytelling ability truly captures the intensity and emotion of that final race, making it feel like we were right there with you. Thank you for sharing this unforgettable moment.
I have been to Invercargill, and saw the beach where he practiced speed runs, saw his house and the street that is now named after him. His motorcycle is in the hardware shop owned by his friend. Nice little town with an interesting legacy.
That Mercedes fly at Nurburgring wasn't because of "closed wheels" it was because it had flat smooth underfloor, for downforce, after that, it got banned
I would like you to give some advice as for the racing lines you follow, i mean you always follow the same racing lines independently on how powerful the bike you ride is?
This is a guy that needs to look back into racing, Monaco 1984, he got second, 1985, Portugal, 1988, world champion, 1990, second world championship, same as in 1991, 1993, Donington Park. And you’re saying this guy is a bad driver? Well you have no reason to watch F1
It’s not that nobody can beat his record on the flats…. It’s that nobody wants to be the guy to erase the record as it stands in that class. It’s not a very popular class either…. So why mess with history…
I'm 75 and still bike on my 27 speed road bike. The key is to stay healthy and hope you do not have any genetic disease. If you eat right, exercise, and don't sit around complaining, you can do anything you want. I'm thinking of biking until I'm 90, which is only 14.5 years away.
Noise was old chain and sprockets vs new, not rubber vs full steel front sprocket. Rubber used for passing noise regs at 4000rpm only. Never heard or felt the difference between the two while riding. Need more vids like your aftermarket mirror one . That was hilarious.
Fun fact in the scene where Burt Munro is about to board the Rangatira for Las Angeles if you watch the scene in slow motion you will see a cellphone tower. That is in the movie The World's Fastest Indian
Went to my first ever nascar race last year at the Cup Series Championship in Phoenix…. Great people, great memories and can’t wait to go back again this year
Thanks for the video! But are you sure about the tip number 6 (pushing with outside leg)? Why you didn't tell nothing about counter-steering? Okay, may be it's so obvious. But anyway, n6 -- how then Cub Prix riders lean the bike? They ride underbone bikes and the tank is located somewhere else.
Definitely at brilliant man. Way head of his time. If you enjoy these life history and motorcycle adventures look into John Britton, another NZ home made builder with another great story to tell.
This is the type of genius that racing associations are stifling with their stupid restrictive rules and regulations. Proof that too much power corrupts.
