This channel is aimed at beginners and intermediate RU-vid content creators that want to improve their videos in the cheapest and minimalist possible way without making your own living space a dreaded work place studio. Personally, I'm not a fan of seeing my camera gear equipment sprawled throughout my 400 sq ft apartment.
Coverage on camera gear and tips and tricks to make filming RU-vid easy with a minimalist focus. Happy to review your camera gear! New videos every week.

This guy understands the weight-size advantage, full frame will not produce better looking images in broad daylight, where iso 100 is all you need. In low light, things are different. I have the ZV-1 and a Canon 6D, i also loved my Olympus EM10 III and between the 3, the Olympus would be the camera to get IF you can obly have one camera. PS In good light and the kit lens on the Olympus, the sony images can look more detailed than the M43 camera because the sony has a very sharp lens.
Note for those that are thinking the remote is not working because the LED light does not come on after inserting the battery - it needs to be paired via bluetooth with your camera or it won't light up! This drove me nuts for a while before watching this video - thanks JSntax Media for this easy to follow tutorial!
Did you find any difference in footage from ZVE-1 and fx3? What are the features of ZVE1 that you are really enjoying and what are the things you missing about fx3 except mount holes? I bought fx3 but im thinking to buy zve1 because of dynamic active stabalization and ton of other focusing features i cant make any decision should i or not.
After 2 years of using 28 panels and having to move them I can tell you: They work great, the strips are awesome and there is NO need to drill them to the wall. Why they include so many screws is beyond me.
I need to know which cable to get for my ZV-E1... id like to use the USB... for my 2019 5k iMac.. whats the best usb-c to usb-A cable to get?? needs to be long enough too.. i just want to do 30p... hopefully at low res 4k.. or atleast solid 1080..
appreciate the honest review man! been trynna figure out my next upgrade from my A7iii and was considering this. but seems like quite a few cons on this camera, that doesnt quite justify the $2100 price tag! Great work!
it's always better to rent the camera (if available for rent) you're going to buy and use it for a day or two before you make any decision. These cameras cost a fortune, so...
Not worth the cost. Broke the extendable stick just a few moments after purchasing it. I only bought this stick because the (cheap but heavy duty) one I brought with me on my travel got misplaced.
Quality of sound aside, it's other purpose is to not disturb other people at home. It will not sound proof anything, but helps reduce sounds from both in and out the room. It's great for people who lives on an apartment and not allowed to drill the wall.
We are humans thats why we always need the perfect, but we never get, even if fx3 you have fan inside, but not that nice autofocus like zv e1, then zv e1 doesnt have so its not for something like podcast/streaming, or general 30 min plus recording with 4k, but still 1080p is very sharp and on 1080p you can still shoot more than 1 hour, and another thing is, cinema showing not an 4k image they show a 1080p image, i mean in most cases maybe there are some cinema out there but most of them really shoot 1080p i know its higher quality 1080p because they use digital cinema package i think its called, but still you can really have a sharp image with 1080p aswell tho, and you just never get the perfect camera, except for the eye.
i love light lenses on ZVE1. Had 28-60mm and a 50mm prime, but traded them both for 20-70mm f4. i now have that lens only for my run n gun setup. the 20-70 is really versatile, no changing lens situation, plus it is lightweight under 500 gram. i know about the need of bokeh when shooting portrait. The lens still delivers. One more aspect is sony native lens is really good for handheld and i don't like using gimbal.
Hey. I have s23 smartphone. Is worth to buy Sony ZV-1 camera ? I care mainly about photos, not videos. Will I notice such a significant difference in quality (compared to the photos from s23) that it is worth buying the ZV-1? Or maybe you could suggest an alternative small 1-inch compact camera?
Doesnt make sense, vlogging is mostly captures through a day so you need to be able to use it a lot, and when moving, 24p aint cutting it. its an awesome device, but with that overheating stuff it should have never been released, or at least a big call back. i rather pay 2k more for the FX3.
This is a really good video and good advice. Thank you. The question, do you really need the nato rail adapter for a side handle? I was thinking that left side where the ports are is a nato rail itself.
I could easily hear a difference in this video - It is ofcourse always debatable if it is worth the time and money spent on the improvement - I would say it is a better viewer experience with the panels - but since they are expensive i am sure we can find other panels that are less branded with same quality and cheaper priced or perhaps get something way better at the same price.
