Autopsy worked well for looking inside the MSD, but in the end the video was found inside an eMMC dump that was put into Autopsy (one needs to desolder the eMMC chip from the logic board and put it in a reader to obtain the contents).
If someone can eMMC dump other TVs we can get all the missing videos (e.g. 2016 KS series, 2019, maybe even the current videos, although these might not be video files anymore)
Try the same with the 2016 one, and we'll be done with the Samsung first startup collection, all directly extracted from TVs. My grandparents own a K-series (2016) TV, but i'd rather not hack it, so you can try decrypting the update file and find the video?
@@user-iy1ym3sz2r At some point there might have been a Tizen Simulator or something, but not sure if that was running actual Tizen or not. Even if it was, I doubt it would have had the welcome video on there.
Would need access to an eMMC dump of the firmware from a 2016 TV probably but I could try to look in the firmware update files for one (e.g. Samsung KS9000)....
