I know you're all giddy about the win but c'mon. The Astros need more than just two players performing well to turn the season around. But it does help having those two performing well I agree. It also helps that the Mariners lost last night after having a 7-0 lead in the 1st inning. That's just as good as an Astros win.

@@elperez1465 I would think the jury is still out on him. He's hitting HRs on the same pace Maldonado did. Actually, he just needs hits with runners on base. The Astros have enough long ball hitters in the lineup. I will still take a HR by ANY Astro ANYTIME.

@ktcarl I think you're reading s little too much in to my reaction. I'm under no illusions that this season isn't going to be an uphill battle the whole way. But think about it...Verlander is what he is. We know he's a great pitcher. But Framber has been wildly inconsistent last year and this, and Yordan until June has been really searching to find his swing. He's the anchor in the 3 spot of the lineup. He's Albert Pujols, he's David Ortiz. He's worth practically 3 hitters. If you get the 2 of them performing at the level they should, everyone else is elevated. The whole "they make players around them better" thing. It's not just about getting 2 players going, it's about the ripple effect it has on the rest of the team too
