I have a LTX 1042 KW. Bought LEDs and I need new terrain grabbing wheels and rims so I can switch them. I would not paint the wheels black. I definitely would not tint my headlights on a tractor.

Hi, Deborah. Very sorry to hear that yours are not working the way you want. I wonder if the camera settings need to be adjusted. I had to go into each of mine and turn up the motion sensitivity, the recording length, eliminate the privacy/motion limiting zones if they had previously been set, etc... After I did that, they have been working very well for us. Maybe you already tried that, but just throwing a few suggestions out there to see if it helps. Hopefully you're able to get them working or find an alternate solution.

I appreciate this footage. I’m a great, great granddaughter of Thomas Chalkley Benbow through my mother Debby, my grandmother Margaret (Ragsdale) Miller, and her mother Dorothy(Benbow) Ragsdale daughter of Thomas Benbow. I’ve only seen the gravity mill. My mother took me there years ago. So neat to see more. I’ve thought about trying to take the drive up there one of these days. Hi, Diana. Sorry about the delay in my response. What I do is carry around one of these amzn.to/3ziUEdv . I had to use it quite a bit before I got my problem solved and it worked every time. Just keep it charged up. Have you replaced your battery (or potentially both batteries if you have a diesel) with the genuine Mopar battery from the dealership? That's what I had to do to bring about my resolution - despite having already bought two from AutoZone.

@@BigfootDadExploresMontana Thank you for replying! I found the problem. I have AMP Research power running boards and the motor was out on one of them, which was impeding it to retract when shutting the door, thus keeping the light on and draining my battery. For now, it's unplugged until I replace the motor. 🙏 Hope this helps someone else.

@BigfootDadExploresMontana
@BigfootDadExploresMontana 3 месяца назад
Hi, Rich - the (older) cameras mount on a little circular socket type connection. Not the best, but it does work. Yes, you could certainly more permanently mount the base and just pop the cameras on and off. Maybe the design has improved on the newer cameras and would work even better. Hope this helps!

Never had an automatic battery charger. Have an ancient old 1 amp trickle charger though I put on occasionally when I bring the battery indoors for winter storage. I thought of adding a brush guard, but then I wouldn't be able to get in as close as I like to in some areas, leaving more for the string trimmer to do so I opted against it. I did add LED lights instead of the old incandescent 1156's. Our land is fairly flat so atv tires are unnecessary. I did however pump slime into the old tires so I don't have to air them back up every week, lol. Adjusted the valve lash yesterday, .004 on the intake and .006 on the exhaust. Also added "poor man's power steering" by adding needle bearings to the front axle spindles. Will also add bearings to front axles and get rid of the old bushings to save on axle wear and let the wheels spin more freely. Also fixing to put in an inline fuel switch to make it easier to run the carb dry in the fall without having to empty the tank.
@anthonybrincefield2812
@anthonybrincefield2812 3 месяца назад
Just bought a Cub LT50, and was thinking of adding bearings to the axles. If you have an AGM battery you should make sure the battery charger is compatible.
@Rebel9668
@Rebel9668 3 месяца назад
@@anthonybrincefield2812 The batteries I use are plain old-fashioned lead acid batteries. I've found that if I leave them in the mower over the winter it shortens their lifespan significantly as opposed to wintering them indoors in my utility room and occasionally topping them off with the trickle charger. My last battery lasted about 3 years keeping it outside in the mower. My current battery is the same brand, same cranking amps, etc. and so far it is now on its 5th year and cranks the engine over as well as when it was new. Now, of course I don't do that with my truck's battery, but it gets used at least once a week so it isn't sitting dormant in the cold for long periods of time. I did add the needle thrust bearings to the steering spindles and they work great. However, the bearings I tried to replace the bushings with, while they fit okay inside the wheel hubs, they would not fit on the axles at all, not even when trying to persuade them with a BFH, lol. So, for now at least I'll just keep greasing the old bushings.

Good video thanks for posting it. My sons 2010 ford fusion has a similar issue, we have replaced the alternator 3 times, battery keeps draining, and can't figure it out. Battery checks out and have had it charged by the auto parts store a few times as well and even bought a home battery charger/ maintainer, still completely stumped, because he's never had any issues with the actual starter, or with the vehicle starting until the battery drains usually within 24 hours.
@BigfootDadExploresMontana
@BigfootDadExploresMontana 4 месяца назад
Hi, Fate - thank you for your feedback! If you haven't had a good electrical auto mechanic do a parasitic draw test, that might be a really good route to go. Or you can do this yourself if you feel comfortable - there are a few good videos on RU-vid explaining how to do this. We did parasitic drain tests on mine but it never misbehaved when they were performing the tests. My root problem, or so I think so far, was that my battery choices were sub par and I just needed adequate voltage. I don't know how common of a problem this is, though. Hope this helps and looking forward to hearing how you get yours resolved.

Hi, Robert - if I recall right, I think I got about 1/4" from the bigger tires, but I couldn't fit any larger on because otherwise they would contact the deck. Maybe this has changed a bit with models over the years, but I'm maxed out without some serious modifications. Hope this helps.
