You see, the problem with Big Bad Voodoo Daddy is they are really really good. Now I counted 3 mistakes in that song. 3. I don't know if you've ever been in a band that tries to play that song, but it's not the easiest song to play. The original is iconic and this is the culmination of playing this song live, very very well for a long long time. You see, it's too perfect. And this is a live recording, no less. Can you imagine that? A live recording that is too perfect. Cab did it and it's a standard. To play that and take it to this. To go see BBVD I would have to spend a fortune on aitre just to listen to this with enough enthusiasm.
Aside from this being an amazing song, & an amazing version at that, we have two look-a-likes: >Drummer-a young David Lynch >Tenor Sax-late ‘90s David Cross
OK great sound with seasoned muscians one of my favorite messin with the kid if you want more HEAVY ELECTRIC GUITAR Rory Galliger but not the same without the harp but the real reason for a coment this song seems to be in time but how many of you notice when they play your favorite group a favorite song seems a little peppier it really ruins the song and if play along with your guitar I for some reason cant keep up with the band and Ian Anderson sounds like one of the chimp monks ALVIN!!!
It doesn’t get any better than this. My dad was a Jazz Musician, he played the upright Bass. I know he would have loved this. Hopefully he’s tuning in from Heaven ♥️
im a jazz bassist too but sadly in this live show he was not playing the bass but just air plucking to a recording of a bass guitar, I looked at his fingers and the notes I hear and he isnt plucking anything correctly which pains me to see the bassist wasn't even playing the instrument during this whole live show.
When I saw them onstage I walked into the room as this song was just starting sounded like the opening credits with my name flashing across the opening credits.
