Wow thats easy...im glad i found ur channel, been watching a couple of ur videos since ive bought my 2014 valkyrie black on 5/27/23...thanks for the videos they are very helpful keep up the good work 👏
I know I need to sit on it to see how comfortable it would be, but how tall are you? I’m 5’ 8” and worried about possibly not tall enough to plant my feet.
I ordered the passenger backrest to come in tomorrow. I think it will use the same holes that you mounted the saddlebag stays with. I wonder if I should wait to install the backrest until I get the saddlebags installed.
My kit was missing all of the nuts, the ones for the chrome bolts, and the ones for the black bolts. It would have taken me a long t8me to figure that out without your help. Thank you.
I am about to embark on this project myself. I also have a Honda OEM luggage rack. Will it use the same hardware and holes as the saddlebags? And if so, I assume I'll have extra hardware once it's all done. Lastly, assuming the luggage rake uses the same holes, does it go inside the saddlebag bracket or outside? Also, the link to the Honda instructions you provided is no longer working.
I have yet to get in there and see the exact spot for a jack, Have you noticed the handle bars are a bit short on the bike? I have a 014 like yours and if I try to get comfortable on the bike my arms are fully extended to reach the grips, I am 6 foot 1 inch with long arms too, I wonder if getting longer bars would be much more comfortable for me? any thouhgts, thanks. Rod
I'm about to buy a Valkyrie and want to put bags on it. Do you recommend Locktite for the bolts in the aluminum that are just snug but can't be really torqued down? Keep up the great work!
Very nice video. Would you comment how the bolts and grommets should be used if you have a backrest installed? Would the brackets go/fit between the backrest and the bike? Thank you, in advance.
there's a lot more you can add to that. I have a 2015 and it has, skid plate, goldwing center stand, goldwing floorboards, front floorboards with heel/toe shifter, socal pathfinder foglamp/runninglamps with turn signal module, slipstream charcoal gray windscreen, spoiler, black clutch/brake levers, floor boards, leather tool bag, back rest, luggage rack, Corbin dual saddle, 2" handlebar risers, clear bra on rear fender including under seat, front fender and fairing, and on the gas tank near the saddle. also run dynamic balancer and have replaced rubber stems with metal stems. also have Triton ergo-3 black highway pegs on it and put the cigarette adapter on the right nacelle rather than under the seat.
Glad to hear them sort your problems out. How are you liking the seat after some more miles on it? I'm finding my stock seat needs a little more cushion.
I have the 395 LM too and for the life of me cannot get my own routes created in Basecamp to upload. I even tried other peoples gpx files that are proved right and they don't upload either. I'm doing something wrong. Do you know how to upload gpx files into the 395LM?
Where did you place the Jack that's a safe spot that wont damage the bike? I have never done this and dont want to hurt the bike. Looking to remove front and rear wheel
