Excellent video! I run an Enduro Engineering skid plate. It has a “box” built into it to protect the stock drain plug. It also has recessed mounting holes on the bottom to prevent the bolts from being sheared off. I run two GPS’s. A Garmin 64ST for off road tracks, and a Garmin Zumo 550 ( yes, it’s old) for street duty. They both have distinct advantages for their designated duties. Dirtracks crashbars, Tusk racks and Tusk panniers for multi week trips and Nelson Rigg soft panniers for shorter, more dirt oriented trips.
Right on. I bought my KLR last September and have added quite a bit to it. I have the SW Motech Engine guards, Richochet Skid plate-(I'll double check, but I think the stock drain plug is well above the access hole with it). I have a Madstad Windscreen, 2" Rox Risers, Tusk footpegs, IMS shifter, dirtracks side crash bars, PMR Rear Alumirack and then I ran out of money! I'd like to see if the KLR upper dash will fit with my Madstad screen. Ride Safe!
