KLRDASH Rally Dash Kit vs MC2 Dash Kit
Here's a first hand look at both of these KLR650 dash kit options!
The KLRDash Rally Dash
Pros
Very sturdy and rigid (hardly vibrates)
Thick gauge metal makes it durable
Cons
Leaves two spikes poking out!
------------------------------------------------
MC2 Dash Kit
Pros
Sticks out quite a bit further, and is able to shade the gauges
Can adjust the windshield at the exact angle you like
Cons
Very thin gauge metal - this dash vibrates like crazy and makes it hard to read your GPS!
These are just two of the options out there compared head to head! What are your thoughts?

I just put the MC2 kit on my KLR. I really like the filler plate and how far back it come to help cover the gauges a bit. I also like the foresight they had to include little access hole in the riser brackets that allow you to get your allen wrench in to tighten the screws. I don.t have anything mounted to the dash portion yet. It does seem to vibrate only at low RPMS. I also plan on making up some angle brackets to beef it up or even rivet a stiffener across the back of the panel. The biggest selling point for me was the overhang and the fact that you don't have those triangle tips of the cowl sticking out or have to trim them off. Overall it's a nice kit for the money.

I just bought my second KLR 650 and I have had the KLR Rally Dash on both of my bikes. I think it is hard to beat.

It definitely is! They're a nice, thicker gauge of metal and they hold up well at higher rpm's.

I bought the solobox dash kit. Alot cheaper than the klrdash. I also had the plastic spikes sticking out, decided to cut them off.

Thanks for the video. Looking like the rally for me. Like that little lower dash unit for auxiliary power. Who makes that?

Hey Bruce! It's called the "KLRDASH Loaded Lower Dash Kit" from Rocky Mountain ATV. We've done quite a bit of travelling, and the lower dash kit is awesome. We do a lot of "off the grid" camping, so this is our main option for charging our phones and camera gear.

Do you have to have the windshield risers in order to use these? i really don't like the riser and would prefer not to have to install it

We are both running with the Zero Gravity Sport Touring windshield too, and so far we have no complaints.
