my problem turned out to be gunk

everything wrong, do not do this, also , the most important things ar enot done and not shown. typical pc masterrace complete and utter epic failure. increasing tension might work but it is not needed, nor does it help, nor does it last, nor is it easy. all oyu have to do is clean the contact area, with contact cleaner or nitro or rubbing alcohol and a cotton piece. there the issue lies, anyway, this occurs after a LOOOONG time, it is time to replace your shitty PC peripherals. they are all crap, especially Logitech and Razer is utter garbage. but y, rgb kiddos buy this shit so....who can blame them

does this work using a setting thats not a pc? Could it be done on chromebook, for instance?

Thanks brother for posting this video , really helped me fix my logitech mouse A tip for others , use a polyethene bag and then keep the mouse inside it and perform whatever switch you have to fix because the copper switch is pretty springy Also take a picture with closeups from each angle before starting to fix the curve

ok you dont have to do all that. I just grabbed my air duster can and sprayed into the gap of the mouse button and it fixed it all. Also cleaned up a bit with a cotton bud inside the mouse and around the button.

Have tried Spirits on plastic e.g umbrella handles & remote backs .Which is affective; quick but can damage your goods being overly aggressive on your plastic. Diluted with a water applied to rag with only a small amount of spirits applied to the rag after . As did not have Isopropyl Alcohol on hand to tryout.

DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS, you will just break that tiny spring and then you will have to buy new mouse eventually. because this dumb@ss didn't show the most crucial part, which is how to remove that spring mechanism because once it's bended at those side tiny bars it's not going to work no matter what you do. luckily i had an old non working mouse which i directly unsoldered the connection and used that on my current mouse... and it's safe. just go buy those tactile buttons from electric hardware shops and solder it instead of trying to fix the spring because it works if you know how to remove that spring carefully.

You can just open the side button or any slightly used one and just change the spring and you dont need to do the bending stuff "wich is working but dont last long and feels shit".

I'm so thankful a guide like this exists! Unfortunately, when I took off the cap for the switch, the button flew off on both and I couldn't find them cause they're so small, so be careful. Luckily I had a spare mouse to take them from, so yeah!

BEFORE YOU START what's not mentioned is that each of these micro switches are constructed differently, and many rely on precise placement by machine. If you are here watching this video to fix your mouse you are FAR BETTER OFF learning to solder or replacing the mouse, your likelihood of success is low.

Great video. Unfortunately, the mouse I tried to fix, Logitec G602, has much smaller springs and it was futile. So, I reprogrammed the buttons so the Right Click Button is now the Left Click Function and one of the side buttons controls the Right Click Function. It's not too bad. I'll get used to it. i fixed it without disassembly by pressing the left and right click buttons hard, but not too hard until it breaks for 10 seconds, blowing through the holes on the mouse where the click buttons are and shaking rapidly, repeating until it works. my mouse was double clicking 50% of the time and now it only double clicks once out of every 100 clicks, thanks reddit
