We are flower farmers and florists based between Bruton and Wincanton in Somerset. We create hand tied bouquets which are available for local collection or delivery to BA (UK) postcodes, do fabulous flowers for weddings and events, and teach masses of workshops - both online and face to face at Common Farm.
The point of my RU-vid channel is to inspire and enable people to grow flowers and arrange with them for the sake of their environment, their creative mental health, and often to help them make a living.
Order all British flowers from us at www.commonfarmflowers.com, book a place on a workshop or garden tour, or enquire about wedding or event flowers. We only ever use grown not flown British flowers in our floristry, and our plot, seen here, is held as a haven for wildlife as well as worked as a flower farm.

Release my possibilities, Georgie! ❤😅 I have found I put up with much less time wasting as I get older, whether it's me doing that or someone else. I got rid of my TV nearly 20 years ago, best thing I ever did.
I’m glad your European Robins are dainty diners. A round of American Robins came and ate every crabapple on my tree over two days. Loved the dahlias being grouped for major impact, very beautiful! Pale flowers still seem to be the wedding colour preference, but those fushia roses would be stunning.
26:50 💕 Presenting the yellow roses to us as the music was in crescendo, nice! Beautiful studio. Even the previous studio was lovely with the stone floor, exposed brick and beams. As many have said, the natural plaster of the new studio is beautiful. Formality has its place if that is one’s aesthetic and goal but there is such life and meaning in a natural form. Team Natural Hedge all day. And as usual, fabulous floral arrangement❤.
It is wonderful that now florists do not have to default to buying flowers that have come across on boats, but have the benefit of those like Georgie who grow flowers right there in England. The benefits to everyone cannot be minimized at all. The freshness alone trumps all! "Life began in a garden", and I hope that most bouquets now sold in England will have begun IN England.
probably easiest for the moment to get through via their instagram - the launch has been feather soft so slowly slowly xxx @swflowergrowercollective xxx
@@theflowerfarmerI watch with my wife Joy, she feels you have become a friend, keep doing what you’re doing 👍. Oh Joy wants more of The Shy Mr Fox cause I’m one😁 Bernard.
Your gardens look beautiful even in fall. The arrangements are stunning, the dahlias are definitely lovely but the touches of little accents like the wild aster, crab apples and the black foliage really sets them off. Every arrangement is unified but unique, natural and full of life.
Your flowers are fabulous. That flower vase with the flowers is so fabulous. I would like to own ones like that! Your are right about the dahlias. Aren’t they so fabulous - especially as the come at the end of the season,
I love pests and cherish them as part of the food web - but I appreciate you'd rather leave them outside rather than bring in to the harvest - try shaking your flowers gently upside down as you harvest to get most of pests to stay in the field rather than coming in to the studio x
The way you garden is so down to earth (pardon the pun), you have a very holistic approach to everything--which is refreshing in this day & age:). You strike me as someone who doesn't "sweat the small stuff" nor do you suffer fools. Both character traits I admire! Of course both stand one in good stead in the floristry business. Your arrangements on this video were as always TOP NOTCH.
lol - we've a three day workshop this week and I start harvesting willow - next week big bed clearance and then we really get going on the Christmas orders x
Fabulous Georgie, just love those beautiful dahlias. Mine were so poor this year due to the terrible weather we've had up here in Scotland. Hardly any buds at all. Ah well....roll on next year lol xx
You are such a treasure! I always learn loads about flowers and have a good laugh to boot; you have the most delightful sense of humor!! Thank you…now have a little rest. I know, silly thing to say. 💛🙏🧡😊🤎
