THANKS FOR WATCHING! And thank you for your continued support!
I just wanna confirm that split screen is still available you have to wait until after it bypasses the menu then at the bottom change the screen to split and you can play couch co-op again. No lan play though that's locked for now still.
"some items you may never have to use". imo that was a callback to the old Lucasarts/Sierra games which had numerous red herring items that did nothing. Like the Monkey Island games had multiple items that were just there to mislead you.
Also, you can tell this is a Gen Zer reviewing based on the “hold a germane in one hand and a gun in the other hand comment. That was ground breaking at the time. No other game had done that yet. Most still don’t to this day.
Man, you have such a great review style - I came for this one because it was short and concise but also watched the RE3R review. You have a knack for explaining the good, bad & the ugly.... It's too bad you don't seem to be doing them anymore.
I loved this game as a kid. I'm from Belgium so English isn't my first language, which didn't help solving those very conveluded puzzlels. I did really like the atmosphere, the worldbuilding and the hint of stealth and dialogue that reminded me somewhat of Metal Gear Solid. ICB isn't a good game at all but I still had a blast with it back then. Even though I used a walkthrough for most of it :D
I just bought it on my ps5 for old times sake and got to say there's a lot of changes to it, idk if its been remastered coming from a guy who binged played this game
I think the generic uninspired puzzles along with the game basically being a backtracking simulator with really clunky combat its entire way through didn't help at all to boost the game's reputation as a classic. Otherwise the story and its pacing was actually decent, and it's one of the few titles I would classify as having a survival horror atmosphere with no actual horror elements.
Thanks for the review. The sequel has a Steampage, and it looked great, was put off by how 2006 flash this game looked, but sounds like one of the choice flash games. Personally hate contribution-based-leveling: you wind up either sticking w/ a commando core, or doing weird & frustrating stuff to try and catch-up underleveled party members.
It’s £7.18 in is store. I’m tempted to buy. I hate when a game looks just ok because it puts me off but sometimes you look at a game and say Na, but when you play it, you really enjoy, sometimes. I might pick up indigo prorocy?
I was just reading an old Power Unlimited (Dutch game magazine) from 2003, and I was wondering why I never heard of this game before. Turns out it's a PS2 exclusive, which explains that. Thanks for the review though! Very enlightening
Im traumatised by this game 😅. I waited half a year as a Kid until i was old enough to rent it. And when i did, i was unable to solve it at a point. So im looking walk through of this later to get my late redemption.😂
