Messy Desk Interactive are a team of indie game developers focused on creating deep and engaging sci-fi experiences. Formally known as Stage 9, we are now working on a number of exciting projects set on fully realised Starships, both within established and brand new universes.
I like how NAV and HELM are written in giant letters. But on a surface facing away from the elevator. So if it's your first day on the job and you are looking for signs to see where you are supposed to go for your first shift at helm, you have no idea where to sit. But the alien captain on the viewer who has never even been on a Starfleet ship will be like, "Dude, it's right there."
Not to be contrary, especially with nothing but my own head cannon (and circumstantial evidence from TNG). I believe this is basically the bridge of the Centaur Class. The bridges of the Miranda/Constitution refit/Soyuz/Constellation Classes evolve from the TMP/TWoK bridge, to the Stargazer & Hathaway bridges, ultimately with the Excelsior half-set as seen on the USS Saratoga in “The Best of Both Worlds”. The Excelsior Class bridge is as we saw in STVI and Generations. It only makes sense that the slightly decontented bridge shown here belongs to the Excelsior-derived Centaur Class. It was only used on the Enterprise-A as a test bed for the launch of the Centaurs in the early 2300s.
Great! Except for the 2 transparent monitors on either side of the bridge. I assume that they're designed to slit your throat or cut into your skulls when being thrown around during battle/aggressive maneuvers?
I love fan arts of bridges in the Star Trek universe. I feel like there's a whole lot more to see than the bridge such as the corridors in starships with computer terminals in the walls.
i have a question regarding your old stage 9 (enterprise) videos: did you completely delete them or ar they just unlisted? if the latter, i really would like to rewatch them for sentimental reasons and maybe download them to preserve the videos! is this possible? of course i would NOT reupload them anywhere else, just save them on my own harddrive for good!
Being a science fiction fan, and a lifetime Star Trek fan. I can truly say that I don't think we will ever see a spaceship built with a humongous Bridge. There's no purpose whatsoever. This space on any vehicle is very valuable. Even a car, A passenger jet. What is the purpose of making a bridge look like a 10 star hotel ? Makes no sense at all.
You have done more in 5 years than a major studio like Cryptic could do with Star Trek Online.. i would love to see what you could create with more funding on a IP that welcomes your talents.. I am sure Seth MacFarlane would support you😅
That was BRILLIANT. I could have sworn I was looking through a RED Camera on a steady cam rig. I know that was a TON of work that went into this. Well done!
It's pretty sad that the Titan was basically the same set. Though I'm fine with the saving that money so they could put it somewhere it really mattered...
