@@SomeKindaSpy from a legal standpoint I understand that cbs would be scared of a fan project like this. It's a high quality game. Honestly it's something that I would pay a fair bit of money for. But if say cbs partnered up and releases a game, nobody would buy it because this one would be so much better and it would be free. It's so sad but I don't ever think that companies like cbs will ever change.
Such a shame. I honestly cannot understand why they did what they did. If anything it would bring people back into the fandom. Hope the people at CBS that made that decision get a massive herpes outbreak.
@@FJF1085 let's face it, the people at CBS have done nothing but constantly damage their own franchise. Going after Stage9 and Axanar were among those damaging actions.
Oww. I got excited there for a moment I thought it said Star GATE not Stardate :( I thought this was going to be a Stargate SG1 recreation instead. Oh well never mind "shrugs". Nice to see the Borg are having a nice Day trip out anyway.
@@DanFrederiksen Well, it's been shut down by CBS. There's no real copyright issue, but CBS has very deep pockets and can sue and lose continuously while driving little guys into bankruptcy.
@@Daniel-Strain well, if they don't have a case they don't have a case and they might ask a judge for punitive damages in a counter suit, so they understand they can't abuse the legal system. With a little help from a law firm willing to take it on for the winnings.
The reason is actually pretty boring. The light being emitted from the torpedo is so bright (beyond what you'd usually have any lit surface) that when it hits the bridge, the occlusion from other meshes doesn't work right, causing that pixellation.
Sad to see what could have been :,(. You're all such talented devs and artists the amount of talent that went into this is just amazing. Sucks what greed can do to a company and the morals of those who "run" it. PS. Out of respect to your wonderful team and the legend of what Star Trek once was I'm not gonna give a cent to CBS's trash that is "Bridge Crew". Getting a vr headset tmw. Excited to finally try out my archived vr version of Stage 9
You might be interested to know we are currently working on a new project called Starship Simulator, which is our own IP but built in the spirit of our previous work :)
Amazing work overall, guys. I just have a small critique on how you show off all your hard work. Judging, by the shakiness in some of the footage, I assume you used a VR headset as the "camera". I'm just spitballin' here as I have never used Unreal Engine to design anything, but is it possible to capture the motion path of a VR headset, import that path in into UE, apply some kind of smoothing to it, and use the smoothed path as the camera and capture footage in-engine? That might reduce the "camera shake" I've seen in the last few videos.
Have you ever considered making a real narrative to your videos? This final video reminded me of a classic murder mystery story at the beginning. It would be really cool if the character from the first person explored a deserted ship and tried to figure out what happened.
after working on these videos, it is something we've talked about. Nothing set in stone yet, but it's worth investigating further to see what's possible
There is only one Star Trek, Genes original, next generation, deep spaces nine and voyager.... All these followed on and kept true to the core of Gene's Star Trek. JJ Abrams shite can go to hell! This Fan art is amazing wolf 353 I'm guessing?
If your going to stick the middle finger up to CBS. This is the way. They need to employ your team.. maybe then we can get some decent star trek narrative back on point
Will we ever be able to download these awesome side projects? Maybe you’ve fallen off the evil CBS’s radar to the point where you could discreetly share some downloads with the REAL fans of Star Trek and of your work?
