The western IFV on reserve is 100% a LAV. Strykers didn’t get Autocannons until the Dragoon which is newer than the map reserve and has a 30mm not the M242 25mm on those vics.
Mechanic is the best trader. He’s odd and maybe a bit neurotic but he wears his strangeness on his sleeves. He doesn’t really hide his true self from the player the way most of the others do early on. And he seems to almost become your character’s friend late in his quest line. I would indeed have a beer with a guy like him.
One small mistake. Auto sears don't make the AKs full auto (even tho they make them machineguns in the US, thank the American lawmakers who know fuck all about guns). Auto sear is a flap of steel that doesn't allow the gun to fire a round until the bolt has locked up, preventing early detonations and giving the phrase "Improvised explosive device" a new meaning It's what saves your life when you're shooting an AK in full auto, but it doesn't make the AK automatic by itself
I think the cause of the event would be that there was some pockets of the molten nuclear fuel from reactor No.4 to leak into the basement below still filled with rain water. Either from snowfall or a passing rainstorm might have refilled the basement an the molten fuel came into contact with the water created a giant explosion equivalent to a gigantic atomic bomb an wiping out half of Europe. The HBO series Chernobyl stated that if the water was not drained from the basement during when the nuclear fuel was still burning it would cause a explosion equivalent to a gigantic 4 megaton atom bomb an this was a shared secret from the West and Soviet Union for 20 years after the disaster at Chernobyl.
It's kind of surprising that basically the Bears are the good guys in this just because of how many things are made where Russians are always the bad guys though it makes sense because BSG being russian
I think the BEAR would have been more prepared for the fallout as they were the ones who were sent in to start the conflict. But they would have been less prepared to actually be left behind then USEC. I assume they would have thought since they weren’t actually real PMCs and were actually ex soldiers hired by the Russian government that they would have been seen as more than just a throwaway PMC
I just found out about this video and everything is soo well narrated, good job ! The only confusing point in the story for me is when the fsb investigators and intervention forces where shot at by usec at the terra group hq bulding. Why didn’t the russian government just send in the army to deal with the situation and arrest everyone related to the corporation since it was an obvious act of terror on russian soil. I mean realistically if a big corporation’s security forces open fire on law enforcement personnel the army will get deployed to deal with them asap.
