I tried this today for the second time.. top of the bread is burning.. I cooked for 45mins at 180c.. it was not cooked inside so baked again for 15mins covering with aluminium foil at 160c still not working.. what mistake I am making..?
What an excellent shortbread recipe. Browning the butter not only intensifies the flavor, but evaporates the water from it a bit. I too greatly prefer powdered sugar to granulated sugar in shortbread. I also add a 1/4 cup cornstarch in AP flour as I really like soft shortbread. So glad i found your channel, dear. ❤👍
