i bought a 30 hp suzuki 2 stroke last year and it sanked in saltwater from a bad storm i rinse it all day with water and dry it put some new spark plugs and that´s it it ran like brand new still i love it
I thought it could be the prop but I see that you have a similar one but 4 bladed so mine should run at higher rpm. I’m starting to think it could be the fuel pump 🤔
I got a 16.5 ft deepv center console with an F115 outboard, aluminium propeller 19 pitch original Yamaha. It goes 40 knots at 6300 rpm at full trim. It is mounted at the second lowest position. Motor has 5300-6300 wot range, feels fast but I think the last 400 rpms don't bring much speed. Should I go SS 19 inch?
That motor sound / trim adjustment is childhood memory city for me. We had a few of them. Practical was a 40 hp on a pontoon boat. Fun was my uncle's 90 hp on a 13' fiberglass shell (no decking/bow covering - just the boat, some fiberglass bucket seats with boat cushions in them and some cut foam, and a rudimentary dash).
I think you should have trimmed her in to take advantage of that trust you lost to the atmosphere. If you couldn't square her up, get a smaller pitch or circumference to get that done, you have to fire it as square as possible mate or its wasted. I don't think you've tuned your boat to that four blade enough. You have miles of testing to go, and it can do much better. Square up the drive, pull near max rpm and you've done your job.
I don't know what that proved. Show the rifle is it a Schultz and Larson, Husqvarna or a custom. Mine is built up on a left hand Weatherby Mark 5 action throated for the 310 Woodleigh Round Nose bullet. The neck in the chamber is lengthened to accept full length 300 Winchester magnum brass sized and necked up to 358 Norma.
It pretty cool that this single 90 hp can run trough the water that fast, may i ask waht is tonage of your Boat for this 90 hp engine and how efficient the fuel consumption is?
I assume you are saying your motor has 81psi compression results . They should be more like 115 to 120psi, that will explain why she's a bit slow mate.
who told you a 4 blade was for fishing,,lol,,that is funny,,a 4 blade is for fast out of the hole but looses 3 to 4 mph on top end ,a 3 blade is slower from take off but is 3 to 4 mph faster than the 4 blade ,,I know this because I put them both to the test ,,so instead of a jack plate just change to a 19 pitch 3 lade and it will give you at least 4 mph more on top end ,,and trim it down a little more on WOT ,you loose forward thrust when you make a rooster tail, learn the proper trim
At the time i was using a,, Four Blade 13-1/4 x 18” pitch Propeller. The Stern Lifting Four Blade prop @ w.o.t + the high trim you can see in the video ,, got the 500kg Yamarin boat the highest speeds. The bow lift wasn’t there b. o. the oversized 18” four blade stern lifter. With this Boat and engine, i compromised Cruise speed over top end speed. Cruising 19 knots @ 2700rpm. With this carefully selected stern lifting 4-blade prop, the application has the best of two worlds. All the power are perfectly in the water. If you’re thinking of a random 3-blade prop,,then maybe you could be right. Have a nice day. : )
