Silly videos and challenge runs for Stardew and similar games.
Hi, I'm Sam (they/them) and my hobby is doing silly challenge runs and making videos out of it. I'm not looking to make RU-vid my job (I like financial stability and my current job), but you're very welcome to join me on my sporadic adventures! :D
It's an incredibly rare event. But yes, if your animals can't return to their coop/barn, with each night there is an increasing chance to get it. Sier was the one who got killed by the way. Hier only suffered lifelong trauma from witnessing the event. (:
I was passively watching while playing Stardew myself and I heard “The Absolute”, when I tell you my head whipped over so fast 😂😂 “oh sorry. Wrong game.” 😂😂
Hahaha! Yeah the naming scheme this video was "Dutch words that end in -ier". Though I only noticed it in the edit that I named the animal Vier right before the fourth meteor struck. Lucky coincidence! :D
Love seeing these type of videos. I am doing a challenge similar but I gain a day each year, so I'm on year 4 so far and was able to go out 4 times. It's super fun
@@heartforpixels it was but I made sure I got my fishing rod so I just fished for teh first year. I'm trying to go for perfection but I went Jo Jo rout
hey! I just found your channel as youtube recommended this to me. i'm pleasantly surprised- this is a great video! Your commentary is very well done, the pacing and storytelling are planned out very well. Your editing looks great as well- cuts, zooms, and other custom edits are all well placed. Just one little thing: I'm not *entirely* sure if it's you, or if my headphones have a problem, so take this with a grain of salt, but i had to turn my volume up fairly high to hear you well on my phone. Be careful with the volume of your voice, as well as effects and clips so it's not too loud or quiet, and so that it doesn't jumpscare the viewer if you use a clip/effect. Other than my nitpicking, this is a high-quality video, easily on par with the bigger Stardew creators!
Thanks for the feedback! I am aware I don't have the best microphone, so I really try to balance the audio well in the edit. Was there a particular bit where the clips/effects were too loud?
this was so good!!!! i love your editing style so much. also not me saying at my screen “no dont go out for forageables on sunday, they reset on sunday so statistically thered be way less noo go on saturday” XD also in the new update this wouldve been a lot easier bc cookout kits are unlocked at level 2 or 4 something like that. great run and great video though :DD
Oh.... every day is a learning day, I suppose! 😅 I stuck to the Sundays, because that's the only day you can trade your jades for stairs at the Desert Trader. But for that day out in Winter I should've made an exception...
The new machines in 1.6 would make this even better with the dehydrator and mushroom logs and fish smoker, I might give it a go for my 1.6 switch save paired with my usual no shipping bin challenge
A fellow Elliott appreciator AND a challenge run that isn't just "play the game normally with one tiny change"? Why haven't I found this channel sooner?!
Great White Sharks only spawn from Summer 1 - 14, only at particular weather (Sunny or Windy) and in mornings and afternoon. The spawn rate has also heavily decreased. It’s a legendary fish categorized as “very difficult” to catch. So even if you fish in “zone 6”, there’s still only a 10% chance it’ll show up. That’s probably why
@@dvlsdeathly6102 when you cast a line you see the little 1 - 2 - 3 right? When you got an osmium fishing rod, it goes up to 6. So when you cast the line all the way up into the 6, that's when you have a 10% chance of getting a shark / legendary fish.
I'm not sure how to feel about this - This looks like the most fun nightmare to live through in Stardew Valley. As long as ypu didn't drink Monster Musk beforehand, you might even survive it 😂
I haven't played Coral Island in months, but generally having crops/ flowers and then processing them (into honey, wine, sake, whatever) is a good money maker. Also farm animals. It's a heavy cost upfront, but pays back the more you have it. In my 1,500+ sharks and millionaire video you can maybe get some inspiration for money making! (though some tactics may be a bit outdated or... insane lmao)
too bad it takes so long to make enough money to afford the computer that you probably have caught most of the bugs and fish o at least 34 of them - the computer should be built in to the house because early game is when its most useful.
A lot of my coworkers have been playing different challenges on stardew and they all seemed kinda meh to me, but this one actually seems like a lot of fun! Its also nice that you can play it vanilla since we all play on our switches at work. Great video, keep up the great work and content!! 💚💚
I'm down for this, especially since clay farming is defined as an exploit, which it absolutely is. I'd really love to see 1.6 remove the clay farming possibility. I'm always hugely disappointed when I see a fun idea ruined by the person immediately spending the day clay farming, since IMO, in essence, they're cheating right off the bat.
