Have you had any galvanic reactions with the metal guards? I’m forced to use one as I snapped the bottom 2” of my skeg in the driveway pushing it back up into the shed. We forgot we lowered it to let the kids ride past.
Just paint the aluminum before putting on a stainless guard. If it's in a trailer and stays dry most of the time it will take a very very long time to cause problems if ever. Similar to how most bolts on outboards are stainless and the castings are aluminum. Not sure why galvanic corrosion is so discussed when it comes to prop guards.
Canada and its fishing lodges have won my heart and the heart of my sons since our first trip in 2021. We've been up twice now and for so long as we can afford to do so, we intend on making it an annual pilgrimage. I sincerely hope that those that were hurt during the pandemic have recovered. What you all do for those of us who love the great outdoors and to help build international good faith hasn't gone unnoticed. Not by my family anyway. God bless!
good idea but in practise its crap. will lower the performance of the motor by the turbulance it will cause in water going to the prop... if you want to protect the skeg fine. but dont have it going round the bullet making it a ugly bulbous piece of crap that will destroy your performance, just have it along the blade of the skeg only.

Here is the real truth for you. Covid-19 is not going away. Most likely everyone will get it at some point. 94% of people who get Covid-19 will recover. 6% will die. I believe most logical people would rather feed their families and pay their bills than sit in isolation in fear of something that only has a 6% chance of killing them. Staying isolated won't prevent you from getting Covid-19. You will probably get it as soon as the restrictions are lifted and you come in contact with more people. If you are healthy you have little to worry about. If you have underlying medical problems you could be in danger. There is no reason to quarantine healthy people. How many businesses must fail, how many families must go bankrupt before the politicians who live on our tax money think it is safe to live life? Don't see countries stopping people from driving even though hundreds are killed every day do you?
Fort Frances ON native now living in southern Arizona by the other border. It's killing the businesses on the Arizona/Sonora MX border as well. Having watched what's going on here, and spending the majority of my life in Fort Frances and knowing how this is affecting everyone...we need a United North America. Because Canadians are fooling themselves if they think this virus is 'gone' or just the Americans problem. It's still around. Meantime, Canada is noticeably flattening its curve, quite impressively, while in the USA their curve is actually a huge spike , in spite of the bull shit your president is feeding you. So, unfortunately,- at this juncture in time, we, as Canadians, don't want any of you Americans up in our country, regardless! This has nothing to do with tourism,- but more for the health and well-being of Canada as a whole. And, it's unfortunate that some camp owners will go bankrupt, but , someone else with money will get a good deal on a camp and it'll be back in business the following year under new ownership. Same old same old....
I can not believe how tragic this is. The LEAST the government should do is to forgive any lease payments for this season to the camp owners. I am a US citizen that LOVES to go to Canada several times a year for recreation and fishing. As soon as the border opens up I will surely be coming back to Canada. I was really surprised to learn that your customers are 99% from the US.
Its a sad situation , but your not the only one that is suffering m,any businesses are , So what can be done is the big question.. WHat open the borders and allow the virus to enter and kill how many . will that help
The government has never helped our businesses in the past ... they play with our lives at our expense continuously. They mismanage every resource in Ontario ... logging - bear hunting - take away our business' moose tags and give them to the public instead ... they take revenue from us frequently and it simply shows that our government cares nothing about our Tourism Businesses in Ontario.

Couple quick questions: Has marketing also been targeted at potential Canadian customers? Corporate Canadian clients? It mentions (a few times) about having a 99% American tourist base....maybe needs to be diversified planning. Also what about regular programs dollars under Tourism and or Northern Development funding? Was any applied for? COVID 19 is an exceptional year for every industry not just this one. Has this same information been presented from all these business owners to anyone in Toronto or Ottawa?
In 36 years, we've NEVER had Canadian customers even though we've always advertised to Canadians the same way we do Americans - with print ads, online marketing, expensive websites, and tradeshows. My guess is that because Canadians can easily experience what we have to offer for either zero dollars or next to nothing - it's not worth it to them to pay $1,000-$2,000 for a week (per person). We cannot offer Canadians a lesser rate because that would be a) unfair to our American guests and b) we would literally be going backwards due to the cost of operating. Every resort in the area that we know of has applied for every government program available (all of which are loans) ... so we are currently using loans to pay loans and are going deeper into debt. There's no way we'll all be able to crawl out of this when it comes time to pay it all back. Not to mention, the loans are NOT large enough for some businesses, even all combined. And this video is just ONE more attempt (OF MANY) at getting our voices heard in Ottawa because so far NOTHING has worked. Even after multiple meetings with local politicians - nothing has been done. When I used to go to Saskatchewan (from Iowa)the camps had a much higher no. of Sask and Manitoba guests. As noted, Ontario has very few, very rare to meet up with a Canadian guest at any Ont camp which I have been to.

We don't want all those infected people over here ... so as soon as the US people can show results like us Canadian's ... they'll open the borders again ! I'm a camp owner and financially, we're in trouble all over Ontario ... the NE the NW ...all of us ... but we are tough and we'll survive and be healthy ... let infected US residents into our camps right now ... Ontario people will die because of it. It's a tough choice ... income or health.

@@jamescrevatin2108 If you believe the media and its numbers, I do not. more testing and tons of testing at that = more positive test results. and there are now reports that all deaths, regardless of cause, were considered Covid related, so they could collect more $$. Numbers of positive cases are way skewed. Is there something going on? yes, absolutely, but at what cost to society. They spent 27M $$ to build an emergency hospital at our state fair grounds......never saw 1 patient

I have owned and worked a camp in Ontario. I can’t start to know the devastation these camp operators are experiencing at this time. I can only ask that the Ontario Government reach out and help the tourism industry. Maybe you need to post contact numbers for government offices so we can all start calling to help get you message be heard. I personally will do what ever you need me to do to help. I have a lot of friends and family still in the business so please lets show our support.
