Hi everyone! My name is Mitch and I'm a super fan of Nintendo games! I'm a product of the Nintendo 64 era, and I have always had a fascination with Nintendo games like The Legend of Zelda and Pokemon among countless other series. With the Switch 2 hype season starting up now felt like the best time to throw my hat in the ring to be your go-to news source for all things Nintendo going forward! You can look forward to news and updates regarding future Nintendo hardware and software as well as reviews for future releases, unboxings of new hardware and peripherals, and other videos!
It is a lot. But who knows maybe several years down the line you’ll be ready to do it again and there may be a better version of them out there for you to try!
I think it’ll be like the PS4-PS5 transition All of the games will work natively, but they’ll do remasters and charge a small fee to play them with updated visuals
Thank you! I know sometimes it’s hard to not use clickbaity titles mostly because that’s how you drive new traffic, but I try my best to not mislead people into watching my content. Again thank you for your kind words!
Could be many things. Best thing I can do is keep the grind up and help get the word out there ya know. It can be challenging to not cover stuff that’s all over the spectrum of being legit or not, but gotta balance the nonsense leaks with some factual news every once in awhile. Thank you for your kind words though! It means a lot!
I believe a dampening bracket is for reducing vibrations, so perhaps it makes the Switch less likely to fall over when the table shakes in table top mode?
I feel like it will probably be both. $70 for anyone who hasn’t purchased it and a $10 upgrade like Sony does for their games if you’ve already purchased it.
1080p LCD display 👎 1440p oled display 👍 no way they release an inferior display compared to their older model. maybe 2 SKU models on launch one with oled one LCD?
@@Andre-yy3en overkill? tell that to the Samsung phone division. they have been using 1440p+ oled since the s10 6 years ago. i can game at 1440p on my s24 ultra for around 4-5 hours before the battery dies. nintendo and devs can take advantage of a 1440p display with the new nvidea apu. if they don't they are gimping the system in handheld mode.
@@AllanWorks 1) the s24 ultra cost 1200$ 2) AAA games at 1440p require way more power than shitty mobile games, causing less battery life and overheating 3) 1440p and 4k will be there while docked
Look as long as the games run smooth and look pretty it doesn’t have to be that much more powerful. Long as it’ll continue to hold up after a few years.
I highly doubt the graphical power will change when it is docked. in my opinion it will be close to a Series S both handheld and docked. The Switch is more powerful than the Xbox 360 by a good amount, so it's not too hard to believe that the Switch 2 will be the same with being more powerful than an Xbox one
I mean it’s possible. Could either be just a setting to allow for higher performance when docked or the dock actually has an external GPU. I don’t think it will have an external GPU but who knows lol
Does anyone else think Nintendo is going to have a controller you can pop in and out the controller schemes. For example if you want a Gamecube controller scheme you can pop out the one in the controller and put in the gamecube buttons and layout. Also can you imagine if they can add DS and 3DS games?!?? It would be a gold mine.
I actually think it's a good thing Nintendo giving the console some limitations. It forces Nintendo to make the best games possible with what they have. I have noticed it alot with many nintendo games.
Yeah and we’re seeing all the issues int the rest of the industry when all you keep doing is pushing power all the time, it’s too costly and takes too long to make games in that model
the switch 2 potential design at 4:18 looks terrible. rounded edges on the screen just means thick bezels the S-2 kneads to stay away from thick bezels have nice sleek thin ones. The switch was kinda ruined design-wise by having thick bezels
"Nintendo confirmed nothing Switch 2 related will be on this Direct...but we will see..." No, please! Don't even entertain that thought. If they said nothing will be in the Direct, then nothing will be there. No need to create false hype that will disappoint a lot of people after. There are addicts who cannot help themselves. Don't give their addiction extra fuel.
It’s me.. I’m the addict 😂. No but you’re right. There truly is a chance that Nintendo doesn’t mention the system at all. However, in the past they’re known to say something won’t be there and then something slips through. Even if it isn’t a “confirmed” Switch 2 release it could be something that is either a cross-gen or eventually gets a Switch 2 port.
MP4 will be cross gen but I hope they show it on S2 first and it’s one of the launch titles! That game deserves the best treatment on the new system!! I feel it’s going to be a game changer for the series!
I think it being a cross-gen is the safest way for it to launch with the “Best” version being on Switch 2 And yeah I think it’s a guaranteed launch/launch window game for Switch 2
I never played WW even though I'm a massive Zelda fan. Also never finished TP because I was just too dumb as a kid to understand it when I got it for the GameCube. So I would be absolutely thrilled to get them for my switch to pass the months and probably years until a new console and then a new Zelda releases :)
After recently playing through TP again and playing WW now I can say that even though the WiiU HD remakes are much easier on the eyes and have lots of Quality of Life improvements I hope that if they do bring them to Switch/Switch 2 they fix some of the jank control stuff with aiming specifically.
@@thatnintendoshow I hope so, too. I hate to admit it but I have a really hard time coming back to old games like OoT for example. I tried it but I really struggle with the dated graphics. But I am pretty much a casual gamer, pretty bad at gaming also, so I would really like it if they brought TP and WW in HD to the Switch. Honestly, it's a no brainer. People would rip them out of nintendos hands the second they hit the eShop. I suspect them waiting with that to give themselves more time with the next Zelda-Title. In a couple months they might release one of them for the Switch and a year or so later the other one, maybe even already on the new console to give us hopeless Zelda-stans even more reason to replay all the old titles.
Would be cool if Nintendo would make a console that wasn’t trash but I have 0 expectations that it won’t be on par with something that should have come out four years ago.
Look all I need is something with a smooth frame rate. Nintendo does like to sell their systems at a profit which I think is why they undercut the systems performance like that though.
Methinks Metroid Prime 4 will get the BOTW treatment, might release on switch 1, but the successor will have an improved or preferred version. With Xenoblade X finally shut down for online portion, I would LOVE to get it on switch finally.
@@thatnintendoshow It was technologically superior to Xeno 2 and 3. Bigger world, better exploration. Make your own character, and the mechs. Open skill trees and weapon loadouts from the start. The dev team from that game were used for BOTW and TOTK. It really is a sin that they didn't carry it over to switch.
@@darkchancellor5030 It's all about the finances. Xenoblade C X only sold a fraction of the copies that 1, 2 and 3 did, and while the open world exploration was cool the gameplay and story of X were generally much more heavily criticised than the other 3 games. X probably isn't considered worth it. Plus I think you might have some rose tinted glasses on if I'm honest, it definitely wasn't as technically advanced as 2 and 3 (both of which launched later using an upgraded version of the same engine on more powerful hardware)- and it definitely had some serious and obvious technical flaws (the fact that cars in the city/other objects had zero collision, the texture quality, the insane pop-in, pretty frequent FPS drops in a lot of areas etc etc).
@@pjs232 That's heavily flawed thinking. It only sold a fraction because compared to the others because it was on Wii U. It was designed as an open world experience more akin to an mmo's world, which is why its quests and story have a disjointed style. It's graphics WERE superior to 2's I haven't played or studied 3 enough to say for certain. What IS certain for 2 alone being the successor being inferior in every way. We went from a proper open world experience to..... gacha and smaller exploration in each zone, while X allowed you to walk freely everywhere you wanted minus any story constraint areas. If 2 and 3 are somehow built better, it is insanely hard to tell. They were built "simpler", to minimize hardware restraints.
@@darkchancellor5030It's true being on the Wii U didn't help it, but even with that factored in it's easily the least popular entry in the series- and that's what matters when considering whether to greenlight a port to Switch or not. The proof is in the pudding, because they DID port Xenoblade 1- so they definitely were looking at bringing older games over, and as must be obvious at this point they passed on X. Like I said, sales aside it's much more heavily criticised for it's gameplay and story than the other three games- the main character is an uninteresting blank slate and aside from the final boss (I won't spoil) the only character that has any real importance to the main plot is Elma (hence why she appeared as the cross over rather than the MC), and her character doesn't even develop over the course of the game- she's the same person she was at the beginning as she will be at the end, no arc at all. And perhaps worse, it also features the two most obnoxious characters in the entire franchise in Lin and Tatsu, and then commits the sin of giving them plenty of screentime. None of the other Xenoblades have such weak characters. Also don't mistake "you personally liked how it looked" in terms of art style/design choices with technologically less advanced- 2 and 3 literally use the same game engine that's been developed further. Xenoblade 3 especially uses much more modern rendering techniques like screen space reflections/temporal upscaling etc etc etc that simply aren't supported by the older version of the engine X uses, it's not really up for debate.
STOP CALLING IT THE SWITCH 2, Since there is NO-SUCH-THING AS ONE since the Nintendo president FROM JAPAN, NEVER EEEVER stated its called THE SWITCH 2. And look im not calling you out or anything, im just so sick of OBBEST Nintendo fans making names for every SINGLE upcoming system in the works since people really need to just call it the NEXT GEN console UNTILL reliable leakers reveal the codename of the next system BEFORE we can make names by then.
I mean. I too am sick of calling it Switch 2. Id much rather call it by its actual name, but since we don’t know what that is yet there isn’t anything inherently wrong with calling it Switch 2. Like if Sony said “we’re going to talk about the next PlayStation system” everyone’s gonna call it the PS6 regardless of what they end up calling it. Or for a more Nintendo related example calling Tears of the Kingdom BOTW2 for years before it was ever revealed. Just easier to say that than constantly say “Nintendos next generation console” when all signs point to it being an upgraded Switch.
I hope they don't get rid of the rail on the joycon, but just make it better. Doesn't lose connection. Imagine one handing the switch for whatever reason and it just pops off and you're holding the joycon with a broken switch on the floor
I think that if the switch 2 has the same power as the series S, it'll be a slam dunk. However if we are looking at ps4 power, i'm pretty sure it'll need a gimmick otherwise its just going to be a first party machine. Third party is really just starting to move to the next gen and if its a 2025 release, 2 years later the ps6 comes out. 2 years and it'll be 2 generations behind, add to that, sony will be realising a handheld along with xbox and no doubt 2 years later there will be saturation in the handheld market. They can't afford for this to be only a first party machine man. It needs to be at least series S power or have an amazing gimmick and it feels like we've run out of gimmick ideas. This really is a make or break nintendo moment, you might think they will do fine with first party alone but the reality is that the hardware isn't making that much profit. Share holders are gonna scrutinize returns and if they don't do too well in hardware and it turns out they can make more selling to all platforms....thats the nintendo hardware killer. I wonder...
Yeah it’s really gonna be a make or break with them, and I agree with you on the thought that they’ve run out of gimmicks. However, as always I’ll be pleasantly surprised to be blown away with whatever they decide to do next.
Theres at least 5 more mobs like that lmao have you not played TTYD? 😂 its in every chapter! Dry bones, puney guys, the boos, the fuzzy guys at the train station etc
@@thatnintendoshow forsure I feel that!! I actually just hard stopped a run I was doing when it was announced, tbh the first mob was hella laggy on my emu and I was like geeez hope I dont gotta tweak my settings hopefully thats the only one but then umm it happened alot more lol 😆 one of my all time favorites to come back to forsure, the nostalgia warms up my whole heart! 😇
@@ascent9374yeah I can’t wait for this to come out. Like I really want the Zelda HD remakes to come to switch, but if this is the timeline where we only get this instead I’m happy about it.
If you pressed Right on the d-pad in the OG, it was a shortcut to the party screen, having the same effect as that brand new shortcut everyone is saying.
So, the party menu is a slight upgrade over the original, but only slight because on GameCube you would tilt the C-Stick and bring up the party menu which also let you change members fast. Now if the Party wheel would let you just tilt a direction to call another party member that would have been much better. Basically, like how Smash Ultimate Shulk can quick change Monado Arts. That would have been best but this is an improvement.
I didnt know this until yesterday, but apparently if you do left on the dpad in the original, it was a shortcut to the partner screen. Still have to press a and scroll
@@timepatroltrunks8276 I have a GameCube for Christmas I buy this game so I can play it before the remake or remastered so I can practice the action commands
From what I hear the remake is more of a direct translation of the original Japanese version. Edit:I was wrong regarding the goomba trio. They have completely nee lines
straight up just ordered kirby squeak squad, mario and luigi partners in time, and kirby planet robobot around a week ago and almost 100% squeak squad so far on my 3ds. Also def like paper mario more for the first 3 games but like mario and luigi games more than the ones after super paper mario
