Documenting my do it yourself 2020 Ram 5500 Offroad Capable Camper.
I decided to start this channel mainly because there is almost zero information on modifying these trucks for off-road use, and even less information on building and attaching campers to them.
Hey, Thank you for the videos! I'm building my 5500, and you have been very helpful. Would you mind sharing Craig's handle on the Expedition portal? I would like to get the same axle plates. Thanks!
How is the Kelderman 4 link going, any issues ie leaks, blown airbags, etc? If you have to do the suspension all over again anything different you would do?
Nice video! I am going to order a couple overkill bms units for my eg4s. It has a been a while, but do you remember the lug size for the ends of the cables? I am planning to order them crimped by overkill.
Thanks. Honestly I’m not sure. I did all the wiring with 2/0. Lug hole size for the battery stud should he listed on EG4 website. I THINK it was 3/8 but not sure
Nice! Perhaps the Sammy was parked at an angle that lead the water down that side/spot? It’s gonna be great to see u rolling around blasting your best mixtape 📼 Ur audio could use some work Fam btw 😈
Audio is fine, volume just needs to come up. I have to put headphones on cranked all the way up to watch the videos but they're fuckin great so its allll good
vehicles by the ocean rot out up top from rain that is salty via ocean. my parents live in florida on the east side and have the same issue where the top of the windshield rots out
Hi handsome, my goodness. My guessestimate: you have spent 190,000.00 usd. Question why didn't you just buy a 2023 thor 24ft. Rv motorhome for 250,000.00 ready to go?
Thanks for thinking of us, bottom was 1/4 rest was 3/16. We were able to split the aluminum cost between a few projects to save a ton. Should be strong enough to smash into rocks or trees without too much concern.
I’m building a Ram 5500 with Bigfoot camper and custom bed frame / storage box build about to start. Kelderman on order. Question.. the spring deck mount system you have, is that a kit or custom build? If custom might you have specs on the springs? Apologies if that’s answered somewhere and I missed it.
Yeah, its a never ending project! Hahaha! No way Jose, i have exactly ZERO interest in attending anything like that. The purpose is to get away from people, not pay to get packed into people like sardines :)
They are manually inflated with standard fill ports at each corner. I've gone back and forth about plumbing it all into the cab, but it works so good right now, i am not sure i want to mess with it and add more possible failure points.
Super sweet windows, great vibe, thanks ! It would be awesome if the video title included a couple of key words about what it covers (remove EPISODE and simply keep #4). Now I have to click on each video and see in the short description what it covers. Searching back in videos for something is not easy. But love the videos, thanks !
Spending my Sundqy watching this series. Short, to the point, solid info with no BS. Awesome work and knowledge is greatly appreciated. Im up to episode 7 now and learned alot.
I have the shocks that came with the Kelderman setup on my 4500. If I hit the right dip in the road the front end will bounce to the point of hitting the stops. I was wondering what your experience has been and if the new shocks helped? I'm assuming it would being able to dial up the compression.
Are you using the ranchos they sent with the kit? The ones they sent with mine were too long for the application and yes would bottom off. New ones are custom with the right measurements so they’d never bottom out
I have been watching your project from just about the beginning while I waited over a year and 6 months for a Chevy 5500Hd that I ordered. It finally go here. On your frame flex spring set up, where did you get the springs and hardware for this? I love how that was done.
