This video covers:
-Calibrating the speedometer for the 41” tires. Following Eddie’s video on here, I used Hypertech Part #752504 (for a Jeep) and it took 2 mins, and got the speedometer accurate to 0.5mph. The transmission is shifting much better/happier now, and all of my readings for MPG and such are spot on.
-Balancing the 41” tires with Centramatic balancers. I was skeptical of these at first, but my friend James (Road Traveler Here) strongly suggested them so I tried them. The tire job did a good job with some sticky weights, but these things added a whole new level of smooth and are super easy to install. Highly recommend them!
-Adjusting the track bar to center the axle back to where it needs to be. Lifting the front 3” moved the front axle approximately a full inch towards the driver’s side. I bought the Dodge-Offroad adjustable track bar, and like their adjustable sway bar links I bought from them, it didn’t fit. I was able to make it work, but not happy with the finish product for close to $400.

Reminded me of a unimog, now I'm really curious if the dodge frame is designed to be that flexy or not.

There's no bed on it, that's why it flexes so much. Ford tailgate and rear doors (crew cab) won't open when you do similar - at least they didn't a few years back. Dodge/Ram would still open - stiffer chassis

Crazy flex on cab and chassis trucks. More articulation kind of like a Unimog.

@@RAM5500CAMPERTHING I want an off road RV similar to the Earthromer. Put wheels around 40", an elevator, and maybe on-board gears (portal axles, portal gears) like the MB Unimog. But scares diesel for Turkey, Georgia, Mongolia, northern Russia.

CRAWL TV thanks man.. yeah, I know the cab and chassis C channel frames flexed a lot, which is why we are doing a torsion free subframe, but I didn’t expect THAT much, will be even more with weight on it. Game time!

gonna be a nice BadAss camper , mines on a 2018 5500 crew cab , cut the back of the chassis for a pass thru. .. Still can't get Covid boarder closed . Happy Easter ~peace~

How are the wheel balancers holding up? I tried to use wheel beads in the past that go in the tire but it didn't work too well. I was going to use Dodge Off road but started reading a lot of bad reviews so I didn't pull the trigger

I know its a bit late but I don't know who told you balance beads don't work with Tire pressure monitors. They 100% do, I have them on both my 07 Chevy and my 2019 4Runner. Maybe not a dodge.

I would think that weight of the camper would activate the suspension more instead of mostly just flexing the frame.

Typical camper weight is approximately irrelevant to stock 5500 suspension... It's a truck with a 5 figure payload capacity...

So this guys actually flex, i guess some of them dont flex that much due to not puting the rigth subframe to acomodate the flex.
