Ray Dalio is the founder, co-Chief Investment Officer and co-Chairman of Bridgewater Associates, which is a global macro investment firm and is the world’s largest hedge fund. He's also the author of the #1 NYTimes Bestseller, Principles: Life and Work. He is known to have a very practical understanding of economics that is very different from conventional economic thinking that he spells out in his video series "How the Economic Machine Works".
hahah how wrong was he and how interesting that we have found that he manages ccp money, i believe 5% of his portfolio is ccp money lol what a traitor!
You can't print gold, that's why it was chosen as a currency, so don't think Dutch empire was printing their currency. And then he only speaks about US situation currently while vaguely discussing other historical situations. Sounds more like their plan then what would naturally happen. They didn't start money printing until the Fed was invented in 1913 and when we completely went off the gold standard in 1979 is really when the populace were just complete sheep. Can't believe that we allowed people to just print money. You dont think the people running the printing machines are not printing money for their own personal gain and power?!? Lol have you ever heard of someone from the fed getting arrested for that? How would they not be tempted to do it? Answer, people running printing money print money for themselves and any those in charge of monitoring and rule the USA. They could just print money and buy up real estate, stocks, gold, oil etc (like what Blackrock and Vanguard do).
I realized that the secret to making a million is saving for a better investment. I always tell myself you don't need that new Maserati or that vacation just yet. That mindset helped me make more money investing. For example last year I invested 80k in stocks and made about $246k,but guess what? I put it all back and traded again and now I am rounding up close to a million.
Be generous and expect generosity! And how do you define or identify generosity: mostly by the kinds of people around you and how they treat you. You'll be in win-win relationships, as it's supposed to be. Amazing advice!
I think step 1a is to weed out the goals that are more like wishes or fantasies, or downright obviously unrealistic. In step one, declaring what you really want, can include things that just won't happen. This 1a step isn't the same as steps 2 or 3 where we determine what's standing in our way.
NO IT DOESNT WORK ! - My wife and I have given many times and we have been screwed so many times we stopped counting. THE LAST THREE times I tried to help out the homeless got me stabbed ! From my life I have learned that "Doing good things cost you much more in the long run", and why I trust no one anymore. YES I have the scars and pictures to prove my point as "100% factual".
You need to listen to the whole clip. It's not about doing good deeds. It's about expecting win-win relationships. Clearly the homeless you met aren't interested in such relation with you. Principled: You tried to do good. You failed. Evaluate what went wrong... It's the type of people you're building relationships with. Try again but try to help people who will in turn show you appreciation back. That what he said too: EXPECT generosity back.
#1- First Attempt In Learning "went wrong" by your standards, but I have been around folks from both sides of the pay scale and the more affluent are the first to avoid all knowledge of you, but expect you to bail them out first. --More affluent from my experience means even less to trust then the homeless. The homeless try, where the more affluent just expect everything from everyone.
Mr.Dalio, How do you feel about the African continent? How come American investors are not very invested into this continent even though it supply 30% of global raw materials?
I believe the Bitcoin ETFs approval will be life changing opportunity for us, with my current portfolio made from my investment with my personal financial advisor <Christopher Nolan > I totally agree with you
Crypto is bringing a different revolution in the world economy, people who are optimistic investors earn consistently, others will just sit and watch!.
It is so gratifying to see such depth of character, humility, compassion… and true grace - quite frankly. It is an exceptionally rare quality in a world of me, me, me…me… me. I wish I would have shook Ray Dalio’s hand when I almost bumped into him at the TED Conference in Vancouver last year. What a great example of a man with a purpose but also such selflessness
Thank you a lot Ray Dalio for those invaluable lessons and principles you are transmitting to us, young generation who embraced to live by this methodology of principles of life.
Despite all the financial struggles i and my family faced, everything is finally falling into place! $47,000 weekly profit and riches I'll always praise the Lord
Elizabeth Regina Nelsen has really set the standard for others to follow, we love her here in the UK as she has been really helpful and changed lots of life's
The problems that I have with woke Ness is the constantly screaming about how everyone hates strong, female roles and we’re against female empowerment, but we just hate bad writing There are tons of strong female characters out there, princess Leia Or powder sister from the league of legends show Or powder herself There’s a lot of really well written female characters, but whenever we complain about the ones that are horribly written like she hulk. Suddenly we are the bad people just write better female characters that are real and not trying to push some radical woke message.
Fuck hard is gay for data. I’ve always had the impression Picard is like a father figure to data. Because didn’t date his father like basically abandon him
