The whole time Dalio was speaking the talking head never realized he was proving Ray’s point by speaking over him and laughing about his warning. What a putz.
Exactly when the legendary sir Ray Dalio speaks, you listen. Unless you’ve done 100s of thousands of hours of research on empires of the world, keep your keyhole shut 😂
And dismissively suggests gen x and z are going to save us lol He is part of the problem without realising he is, or maybe he realises too well and needs to deflect
Churchill didn’t mean that in a positive way, he meant that we will stupidly test out every wrong decision with every problem we face trying to avoid doing the right thing! How is that something to be proud about!
Because we’re a baby nation and that’s the best constructive criticism I’ve ever heard in my life! I was glad to hear Churchill said that, especially since he’s one of the best hype-men in recent history.
The USA is not a baby nation. While I admit there are many infantile adults in the nation, that term cannot be used to describe a nation that is nearly 250 years old. @@BoweDiesel
The U.S. system allows individuals to maximize their abilities, which is good, but it seems to lack sufficient protection for the weak. The healthcare system, in particular, falls short of what is expected from a developed nation. The pandemic exposed the alarming state of the U.S. healthcare system. Interestingly, many Americans are accustomed to this situation and remain unaware of alternative systems like socialized medicine. The healthcare and education systems proposed by former President Obama were steps in the right direction. In contrast, Trump represents the epitome of extreme capitalism in America. While Trump may claim to revitalize legacy industries, the reality is that extreme capitalism always favors the capitalists. The working class, often unaware of this dynamic, continues to support figures like Trump. It seems they are oblivious to the changing tides of the times. It' my opinion.😊 Thank you a lot. Have a good weekend 😊😊😊😊
I think in this context Dalio meant 'system' to mean the US constitution and Bill of Rights. He also said there is a huge debt problem that their generation has allowed to develop. Put his words in context...
Ray, you have written, spoken at length and have shared hours of knowledge for free on RU-vid. People are too lazy to pay attention. People love comfort when it is gone is when they listen until then the “Good Times Roll” gang will continue to believe all is well and good.
« how are we going to behave with each other » : imagining the worst of people, and calling them lazy, is surely not the kind of behaviour towards others that will help… respect is a requirement of the nature of things, of interbeing, which is the implicit order of this world, and of the oneness that unites all life…
Ray was being polite. The system is not fine. If a system runs good just because everyone behave, it is not a good system. They are just bunch of good people.
On the global scale, we’re not only one of the newest, but we’re the most influential. If the rest of the world sees that we can’t band together as a society and continue to be divided by a childish argument of gender, religion, and race, then we’re running right into a brick wall. If I’m being honest, I think that wall was 2021 😂
If you need to tell yourself and others that "we are the greatest", you are not. Same goes to socialism or communism, you know you got problems if you felt the need to start that rhetoric.
Ray Dalio is a boomer. He was talking about his parent's generation that have since been named, "The Greatest Generation". And I've seen no generation to rise above it, only degradation since then.
@Twopeetfeet those are only the official figures. Like the population stats, pure fiction. Also forget about the massive debt China has taken on and all the malinvestment.
Weird AF. If you need to tell yourself and others that "we are the greatest", you are not. Same goes to socialism or communism, you know you got problems if you felt the need to start that rhetoric.
Dalio is sometimes right and frequently wrong….the US was great but now it’s a mess….correct Ray! Bitcoin is an incredible store of value, far better than gold….Dalio disagrees….wrong Ray….very wrong and, in light of his own comments about the US debt and inflation, he ought to know better!
