Curious how you get some many levels on your framme - you said by the time you get Jean she's level 5-6 and for me she's just bearly level 2 and I just got jean. For context Im on my first maddening run of engage - I beat 3 houses maddening all routes but no other FE's really. Maybe it's just my play style - tanks/ dodge tanks up front and backline poke (archer/mage). But have bearly healed with her since 1 range heal/chaingaurd puts her in danger so I just use vulnary on the off chance Louis etc takes damage ahah.
I wanna say you’re focusing too much on stacking her speed over stacking her damage 🤔 Like, no magic boosting Bond ring, no Magic +2, not even Momentum 👀 Granted this could be before the well, but still no Magic meals? Mag tonics? No Roy engraving? Speed staking is hard, but Dmg stacking has a few roads you could take, plus i hear she’s best for taking care of Wyverns that regular archers don’t want to mess with Still, I’m definitely going to try her out! She sounds interesting & I want to see if I’m talking out of my butt here XD Anna does have good utility as a Warrior, so I could see them being pretty similar
I feel like the cost of the bullets shouldn't be too much of a drawback. I didn't have less than 150 dollars and now capping at 800 after mid game. This with buying and using better ammo and not even using tonics for less price.
Just doing another play and yeah shotty not that good. U gotta be so close but the Slug rounds are so good against splicers. I really only be using that. But been more with rivet, spear and grenade.
I feel Leif pushes you towards more so playing him as an enemy phase unit. But he's more suited to the player phase IMO. He's useful in the early game as Arms Shield helps decrease the chip you take over time when initiating multiple units. Also with the multitude of weapons he grants you, he really makes for a nice early game support by being almost guaranteed to have the right weapon for the situation. This function unfortunately falls off later into the game as you're going to be geared more towards EP tactics or your player phase units will rarely be in a situation where the enemy can reasonably counterattack, in which case he doesn't provide much besides his build. Quad Strike's only use in the late game imo is to give a bow to non-bow users when attacking fliers, which is very sad. I feel they were probably concerned Leif would be too overpowered so they basically made all his tools just barely too weak which is very annoying.
Hey bro you are literally an encyclopedia for FE engage I just got the game because I got a switch 2 months ago and had a massive eshop sale. You helped me so much understanding the game. I love how flexible units are and can’t wait to have multiple runs of Engage in my life. Can’t wait to 7.0 tier list
Made Clanne Warrior and gave him hector he had insane hp took little damage and did a lot of damage I tried this build because of heavy strike but the results were amazing and not because of that skill also a decent cannoner
I started the game last week, have 60 hours now (lol) and just got to Bestoria, i play on expert and im very involved in the game right now. This article is hillarious. They have 0 idea what they talk about. Dragoon + White/Black cat hat is pretty good tho.
Anyway i love tbis shit. Have used it for arrows subconsciously for so long. It feels so good to aim at what would be the wrong spot and still hit bcs you know how it moves. Loved this stuff in horizon zero dawn too, always shooting around trees and such
for me id put the Valve in S (Valve with the Heavy stock, long barrel, irons, no mag and a green laser) Because i always hit headshots even from ranges most would call bs on but i'm just used to irons, irons in any fps game is my prefered sight even on snipers, ran with the Valve through Last light, exodus and sam's story always paired it up with the ashot to make up for close range(for sam's story the m1911) so its probably just me being attached to my trusty sniper but even if its not an S id still put it high A when paired with the right gun and throwables such as the knifes
From your perspective as a, frankly, expert at this game, Chloe probably is better than Kagero. Maximising her closes the gap if not extends her I agree . But for a less experienced player Kagero is always going to be stronger. I don’t even mean a bad player. Someone using her well, but not maximising her, or prioritising certain abilities or builds. Kagero out the box is just a cut above even her for the majority of players
Something people over look is is magic I ran him on cupido with the radiant bow and he was doing 60 damage and doubling by the time I forged it was crazy
Currently trying out Thief Etie and it works really well on her. Etie’s biggest issue is her lack of speed in her base stats and her low defenses. Her average speed stat in archer at level 10 is only 8.7 which is very middling. However if you reclass her to thief when you get second seals (realistically she should be level 10 at that point) you bump up her speed by 5 points, her defense by 4 points, and her HP by 3 points. These are pretty significant boosts to her middling stats and you only lose 1 point in strength, and while she’s still frail she can eat a hit much better. The extra +5 in speed helps a lot especially with dodging which is the only way for her to reliably enemy phase at all, even more so when she’s a covert class. On her average stats alone, she has 13.7 speed and 9.8 luck which gives her an avoid of 32.3 which is really good for that point in the game, and is only 2.325 less than Yunaka. Compared to an average level 10 Yunaka, she has +2.15 more STR, -1.8 less DEX, -1.15 SPD, -1.55 less DEF, and -0.05 LCK. One thing that holds Yunaka back is that after a certain point she relies a lot on Crits for damage cause of her low base strength, while Etie can patch up her avoid and speed to be on par with Yunaka’s with the Lyn ring or with a Micaiah engrave on a dagger. On maddening mode because of her lower speed compared to Yunaka as well she doesn’t hit 0% Avoid as quickly as her, allowing her to bait enemies into attacking her. Is it good? No cause Yunaka has better growths still outside of strength which only a difference of 5%. But it’s probably Etie’s favorite class considering that it is cheap in requiring 1 second seal and its bases patch up almost all of her flaws. Growth wise it’s comparable to Bow Knight with it losing out on 5% more SPD growth and the covert bonus.
Been "lurking" on your channel recently. Took a long break from the game, and exactly like you said after playing other games I've cone to appreciate how well put together this one is. Your channel is awesome, watching your challenge runs is always fantastic. I was here for the first attempt of the Anna paralogue on your first homeless run and I remember how impossible it seemed too. And after watching your divorced and homeless tier list and seeing how far you made it was one of the coolest things I've ever seen (as well as Anna and timerra literally being the best combat units and a surprise Hort) and I just wanted to tell you I'm super happy to see you still streaming and being awesome.
About Cyborg Drones : You can circle strafe around them too. They will keep turning around slowly to try and shoot you but they won't be able to therefor they are free kills if you only close that initial gap.
Now big question for you : Is it possible to complete THE ENTIRE System Shock 1 Remake with using ONLY melee???? Meaning ONLY the wrench and later Laser Rapier?
I would never run Hoss on my main team, but she's not terrible. She's not as bad as Giovanna on pavement. I guess there's a strategy where you'd need someone to run out there and heal or sandwich. I do enjoy launching the other players, but her whole thing depends on sidling up. So I haven't found much use for it.
Your Math always Maths ICG. I've been playing FE since it's release in America, and I have never considered LTC as anything other than a challenge run. In my eyes, that framework of valuing units shouldn't even be considered legitimate by any means and here is why: If you like a game, you want to play it right? Probably a lot? Or at least for long periods of time, because it's fun! But when you are playing a single player game and in a way that significantly reduces the turn count you spend on any given chapter and in the same way real life time, objectively that would be seen as avoiding engagement with the game. If you like it, why would you want to avoid engaging with it? Wouldn't that mean that you don't like it considering you're actively attempting to spend the minimal possible amount of time completing the chapter and engaging with the story? I know this is just my opinion, but the fact of the matter is the largest representation of this community of players who supposedly love this game actively value things in units that reduce your engagement in the game because they are "more efficient" but literally and in practice reduce the amount of time spent even playing the damn game. But in reality most people actually play at a much slower pace and enjoy their single player game at a slower pace. And I also completely agree that LTC is easier than creative building and playing the chapters for what they are with the tools you have in a meaningful and I guess you could say "honest" way. You put me onto Timerra and I discovered Anna on some obscure post a week after the game came out, and I use them very frequently because the startup cost is honestly insignificant across multiple playthroughs on Maddening in both fixed and random growths and their performance just outweighs every other unit in the game bar Chloe more consistently and with less effort. Framme too, my jaw dropped the first time I sent a Bonded Ball into the middle of Chapter 24 deploying only 5 units(all of which I just mentioned plus Alear) and watched them enemy phase every single enemy without taking damage outside of chain attacks and 1 round them in return. The entire map swarms you as you know and they had no issue moving at Framme' pace right up to the boss. Absolutely bonkers but people put 3 out of those 5 units on the bottom of tier lists. Fucking nuts.
I have seen tier lists and unit breakdown videos of all kinds from so many different channels. One thing I will say is yours(and mine) are not widely shared views on units. I would honestly say 60% of the people making content around this game view Framme and Anna to be some of the worst units in the game. You and I both have experienced how gamebreakingly nuts they are and uniquely so, no other units in the game can do exactly what they do or better. Awesome video, awesome channel, keep up the great work man.
Wait aren't the pegasus princess like 14 too? That's why the localizer erase her support where Alear call her pretty/cute.😂😂 The tea princess i'm not sure. Cuz in JP their ages are written in the game profile but the EN localiser get rid of those. The only characters in their 20s other than 3 grandpa/grandma are the "muscle" prince and dark emo assasin?? All the other characters are around Alear ages of 17. I don't remember the names dy man this game art direction still gives me hives tho I did enjoy the ring system.
Informative, although idk if id even consider wood/stone/berries to be an important resource on deciding where to base considering you can make stone pits, logging sites and plantations so early.
I just beat normal 95% blind while trying to minimize guides and spoilers as much as posslble. Aside from maybe 1 or 2 fights, the game was very easy. I'm sad to hear that TZ is more about just proper team building versus actually having to play tactically
