@sandog Yeah, I was like, "Okay." 😬 It was his boat and he didn't know that there was a gaff on board. Went to the 302 and 425 yesterday saw no fish. We found like two kelp patties but no signs of life. It was really rough as well. Still experiencing a little overheating while at slow speeds so have to do some more troubleshooting. My left side outboard hit something hard down there that the cowling cover almost came off completely. When I was flushing the outboard some water came out of a place that I don't normally see near the exhaust so I'll have to take down the lower unit to check to see what's going on. I'm hoping it's just the tubing that feeds the outboard water that came loose. To top it off I wasn't feeling good cause I had heartburn.

Yeah, it was a beast. Probably weighed 12 pounds-plus. There was a lot of meat on the fillets. I took one fillet and made fish tacos. Absolutely delicious fish to eat.
@Kohkaew429 Yes, our reels are pretty strong. We have bigger reels on the racks on the hardtop of the boat. We have a lot of room for many reels all over my boat. 😁 We have a size limit on fish over here. If they are too small we have to throw them back.
@@adventuretrails1ato My boat is 1989 with 2001 Mercury Optimax 150s. The previous owner said it topped out at 50 knots. I've only taken it up to 30 knots without even trying so far.

Thanks! This was when he was probably around 3 or 4 years old. I miss him at that age. He was chubby and adorable. Now, he's skinny and handsome. Yes, he does still enjoy going fishing with me.
