Nice machine learning algorithms like LEM2 (rule generation based on the dataset and result of each trial) are available for years and are actually the thing you need in such industry. Those kind of algorithms can and should be also enhanced with the feedback from engineers (induced learning). One bad assessment based on trash data will probably be more costly than your whole solution for one 'factory' based on something that you clearly don't understand.

There must be considerable slag from the scrap metal - I did not see allowance for the removal of this in the steel recycling process - or is that just not in this animation ?

Has this been proven? If so, looks really good. I would imagine it could take some people just to maintain the equipment. It also looks like it will be low emissions and lots of recycling as it can use variable quality scrap. I like how they get no slag.

High tempature nuclear reactors could produce very low priced hydrogen. These reactors could be producing this hydrogen at times when their full amount of power is not needed for electricity production. This would be a side productiin so really this would like using waste heat since the nuclear fuel to do this is very cheap. The hydrogen produced this way would be the cheapest way to produce hydrogen. These high tempature reactors would also be able to provide 600⁰C process heat.

Thank you very much for the detailed answer. So it seems that it consumes a bit more electricity than a generic EAF (if I am not wrong it is 500 kwh per ton). Considering less carbon use, more energy consumption is worthed only if the source of electricity is renewable.@@PrimetalsTechnologies
