Buy us Thai teas 🧋😍 www.buymeacoffee.com/Chovytravel
Shredded coconut is to make a coconut milk (a fresh one), not from a can. Bael Fruit tea is common in massage parlor. It helps with when you get sick and respiratory conditions. You should go to Robinson Bang Lak. There are tons of street food in the morning (one of the top 10 Kao Ka Moo) along the street and evening market as well. Another must try market (local Thai office workers) is Ruam Sab Market.
On a recent trip to Thailand I definitely noticed the quality of food in Makro was superior to the street food outside. It’s a shame I didn’t have any options to cook because I was actually quite disappointed with the street food compared to 10 years ago.
Morning markets in Thailand are amazing. I love it so much because I can be sure the food is freshly made, especially the rice with curry, which I love. I love to buy a lot of food for breakfast, lunch, and maybe dinner and enjoy them at home with my AC on 😂.
@@ChovyTravel Sure, I've tried it and it's my favorite menu item at KFC. But let me warn you, even some Thais can't stand the spiciness of this menu item. It's sooo spicy.
I agree re. Your comment about the add showcasing Thai hospitality. The other takeaway of that ad for me was how quickly Thai business was able to adapt and help out with an unexpected high quantity order. I thought the ad was amusing, colourful and covered different aspects of Thai culture (though not all). Also forwarded the ad (prior to it being removed) to some Thai friends, who had similar views 👍.
Awesome video! My wife and i have never been to that mall because we never make it to that side. We cant wait to check out save one go food market after you guys made the video and its only one stop away from our condo. Keep up the great content!

Originally, Mega Bangna was a business of SF, one of the 2 giants in the cinema service industry in Thailand. In addition to the cinema business in hand, SF's investment portfolio also has many department stores called open-air shopping centers, which are department stores that are developed horizontally rather than building multi-storey department stores like leading department stores. Most of them have only 1-3 floors, and one of them is Mega Bangna and Esplanade. But then the number one giant in the cinema business industry, Major, bought shares of SF, which made all the department stores business, leaving only the cinema business. Therefore, all SF department stores became the property of Major. But when the COVID-19 crisis hit, Major lacked liquidity, so it sold shares of SF to Central Group, allowing Central to get some department stores that were originally owned by Major, namely Mega Bangna and Esplanade Ratchada. And as we all know, Central has been doing business with Major for a long time, so they are both strong partners. Central takes care of the department stores, Major takes care of the cinema business. The owners of SF Cinema are also competitors and business partners of Major. Therefore, Central also has personnel who are executives of open-air shopping centers. This is why the Central West Village mall that you have explored was created because it used the concept of Mega City Bangna as inspiration for its design. The executives of Mega City Bangna became executives of the Central Group! 😂😂😂
Oh wow!!!! That’s so interesting and also very smart!! Thanks for sharing this. Central and Major are 2 that are everywhere for sure. SF movie theater too, we’ve seen around. Some of their theaters look nice. We seriously have to check out Central West Village… we loved East Village and it became one of our favorite ❤️ Thanks again for sharing this background story 👍
@@ChovyTravel. Take the yellow line and get off at “Suan Luang “ station & check out “Seri market” at “Paradise park “ shopping mall. It’s one of the best food court mixed with market , lots of various premium local foods and you’ll see lots of people over 60 stay there all day. Besides Paradise park , there’s another mall , Seacon Square which used to be the largest mall in Thailand & Behind paradise park , there’s a park which is the largest in Thailand , “ Suan Luang Ror Kao ( 9 ) “ where lots of people come everyday.
@@ChovyTravel They are in the same Srinagarindra area. You can take the yellow line to Suan Luang 9 station. Also, there's a famous night market (Train night market) nearby. They are all worth visit but you probably can't do them all in one day because they're so big.
@@ChovyTravel Also bring some umbrellas around. I know it's weird for American people but Thailand's heat is no joke. Buying a UV protection umbrella is always a good investment you can use it for UV protection and rain.
My favorite thing about Thai ppl beside how pleasant they are is the fact that they’re so clean and tidy with everything they do compared to other place in the world street food vids Thailand once are always so well kept
The big malls you see in Bangkok like Siam Paragon, Central World are in the area called CBD (Central Business Center). In the area of Asoke and Sukhumvit, they call it NewCBD. It is centered around the EM family of malls, such as Emporium, EmQuartier, and Emsphere, as well as Terminal 21. There is an area connecting the CBD and NewCBD called Lang Suan Road. And when you go to the east of NewCBD, you will find the EastCBD area or Bangna area. This area is important because it will connect to Suvarnabhumi International Airport. And the EastCBD area will be like a border connecting 2 future mega cities of Thailand, Bangkok and EEC Mega City (may be called another name). EEC is a combination of 3 large industrial cities in the eastern region of Thailand, Chonburi(The Pattaya City and Sri Racha are part of Chonburi Province), Rayong and Chachoengsao. They are going to build a Mega City, which is like a 2nd Bangkok, to be completed in 2030 in the Sri Racha area. Both Bangkok Metropolis and EEC Metropolis will be connected by high-speed trains and motorways, making travel between the 2 Mega Cities convenient and fast. With the high-speed train connecting Bangkok and the EEC mega city, it will take you less than 60 minutes to travel for a distance of more than 200 kilometers between the two metropolises. In the EEC, there will be a large airport, a smaller version of Suvarnabhumi Airport, which is U-Tapao International Airport. They will make this airport an aviation city similar to Incheon Airport in Korea and Narita in Japan. For the reasons above, EastCBD or Bangna area will develop rapidly. In addition to having Mega Bangna, which is the largest 2-floors mall, there is also a mall of the Mall Group called Bangkok Mall, which is the largest mall ever built in Thailand (bigger than The Iconsiam). In addition, there are many large real estate projects in this area. The project with the most investment is the foresties, worth more than 120 billion baht. It is an office and residential property surrounded by a very large planted forest area. 😂😂😂
Omg!!! You are very insightful! Love this. Thank you so much for sharing it. As a foreigner, most of the times I don’t know what is happening here. Thanks for letting us know about the areas and what’s happening/coming up. 😉🫶🏻
@@ChovyTravel Suvarnabhumi Airport is currently in the expansion phase to upgrade the airport. What will be built is the South Terminal Building, or simply called Terminal 2, and will build a 4th runway. In short, the structure that you see at Suvarnabhumi Airport today will be copied to the South Terminal. It will be like a twin airport. Both terminals on the basement level will be connected by APM trams, just like what you see at Terminal 1. The basement level has APM trams connecting to SAT1 building. When the South Terminal upgrade is complete, EastCBD or Bangna areas will be directly connected with Bangna area. There will be an MRT or monorail connecting from Bangna to the South Suvarnabhumi Airport. It will make the whole Bangna no different from the NewCBD area of Asoke-Sukhumvit that direct connected with Airport rail link. That is the entire development plan that has been designed. 😁😁😁
Thank you for this information. It sounds exciting. Can not wait to witness these super plans while on my frequent visits. Greetings from Uganda in East Africa
@@AnonChiranukulpipatI travelled through the new terminal to the S gates.. i however did not get to see any shops. I always plan for shopping time on my way out. I was disappointed
@@lynnetteleilah3739 SAT1 is not a terminal, it is called a satellite building. It only has a waiting area and a gate for boarding the plane. If it is a terminal, there will be a check-in point for loading luggage and there must be an immigration checkpoint. The purpose of building SAT1 is to 1. Increase the number of passenger areas from the main terminal1. 2. Improve passenger convenience. Passengers who come to Suvarnabhumi Airport do not have to take a shuttle bus to board the plane anymore. And 3. To increase the lounge area for waiting before boarding the plane for full-service airlines. And currently, both Terminal 1 and SAT1 are undergoing internal renovations to increase the useful area. For example, a playground for children, upgrading the food court, upgrading the point of buying Thai products from all over the country to this airport and Don Mueang Airport. And what has been canceled is the duty-free zone on arrivals. 😁
Actually Central group doesn’t only own just deparment store in Thailand, Its first foray into Europe began in 2011 with the acquisition of Italy’s prominent luxury department store, Rinascente, followed by Illum in 2013, KaDeWe in 2015, Globus in 2020, and finally Selfridges Group in 2022. They have around 80 department store around the world.
Who are the owners of Central group? I envy their stores. I got to visit Central Village during my last visit in July and i was mesmerized. I spent the whole day shopping and was not able to explore it all
The kind of mega sales that they have all year round, no need to havr a special one on Black Friday. I recommend you visit Central Village for discounts upto 80% on big brand names.
There is a bed cinema too in case you want to watch transformers while laying on the bed and they have a snack buffet for you in waiting room so go early🎉
