My wife Leah wants to say : "Dear Gem, Thanks for sending me the link to this lesson. Here are some of my thoughts. "My country is Canada and my mother, my father, my grandmother and Great Grand Mother were all born in Canada and maybe further back. Our country is "Under the Supremacy of God" , and I'm happy to be part of the Constitutional Monarchy that is a democratic country founded on July 1, 1867. Your first question about how people recover from crisis completely overlooks the element of spiritual strength upon which most truly grounded people depend. Through faith folks are able to overcome and easily survive without trauma, almost any crisis. I depend on prayer and God. In fact without God/Jesus, I wouldn't be able to cope with most of the things happening in the world. Talking to 2 indigenous drug users ( as they used ) today at a bus stop in Vancouver, they actually thanked me for stopping to remind them about God and how much God loves us all and is all around us and there to help us with addictions and that it's never to late. In fact we spoke with three highly addicted people on our transit journey this morning and reminded all of the about St Paul's Hospital in particular where there's a 7 days a week "Access to Additions" office opened 9 a, to 4 pm. The segment on "Stress Cycle" completely fails to mention that all of life is easier to handle if you are grounded in faith, sober, and have good life habits, and in fact with these tool in your toolbox there's almost nothing that will overcome you even during high stress times. Look for instance at Dr Anthony Fauci who was the main spokesperson to the President of the United States of America during the entire COVID crisis and almost every day was there with sound, sober, wise advice and counsel. For instance if you are experiencing stress, attending church weekly and reading and studying the Bible with passages such as what Jesus says in Matthew 11:28 "Jesus says, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls." And don't overlook the miraculous element of healing available through faith in Jesus, something I experience every day and which helps overcome even the most difficult times. God is our shield, and comforter. Your section on "Link", again overlooks that God is always with us and the more we behave in line with God's will the fewer times we'll get sick, have addictions, need support and we will be able to support others. Of course, though, our family is a great support. When you talk about "Mental Health Support" don't overlook that most communities have a church and most churches are free and they are there weekly and provide an opportunity to help and be helped. "What is making you well"? This again is both a choice and a spiritual question because without God, and without living according to God's will we're not going to be following a path that will lead us to our best lives. God puts it this way Deuteronomy 30:15 "See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil; 16 In that I command thee this day to love the Lord thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply: and the Lord thy God shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it." And Jesus puts it, John 14:21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him." So God will actually make it clear he's a part of your life. With God in your life and by living according to his will and continuing to give God credit and study his word and attend worship and through fellowship with others, we can dip into an eternal, unlimited wellspring of love and well being. Thanks for sharing your ideas. In terms of supporting people, remind them for instance, if they're highly addicted, of how they felt as a kid playing baseball or being at a meal with their folks and how much their Mom loves them. Remind them God loves us all equally and we are all made in the image of God and that our greatest well being is what he wants for us. Your listening advice is great. Empathizing is great advice because it is their experience and you're just hearing about it. Remind folks we all just face one day at a time. I like to remind folks we come in naked and we go out naked and every time we loose stuff ( possessions not people ) it's just a little reminder of what's important and that is loving each other. You say "Choosing to live and have hope" is important. This is why Jesus came to earth as he says in Acts 26:18 "To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me." God bless. In my 10 minutes of self care I take a nice shower. In an hour, walk, guitar. For a full day, my husband and I would go sight seeing but something we do everywhere we go is pick up garbage, and we do that always when we walk. God bless." Leah Sonne

Heard that now you are heading to Gaza to provide relief and share pain and sufferings of Gazans from Israeli-US Genocides. People like you are only hope for humanity. Otherwise, I don't see any positive purpose of this world that we are living in.

Providing the destruction of America so that nobody has anywhere else to go and you attempt to globalize the world because of your emotions not being aware of strategic plans used against you? Do not give to the Red Cross they don’t represent Christ by any means
Hamas commits a serious and abominable war crime and the Red Cross covers it up, refuses to publicly condemn it and never presents to the world the monstrous behavior of Hamas towards the abductees
I am interested: A retired Moroccan soldier, married and father of two children. I love humanitarian aid. I hope to get the opportunity to volunteer, regardless of the country.
Red Cross should be ashamed for not leading the way in Gaza to help Israeli abducted hostages! You will not get one cent from me. I am urging my family and friends to give to other charities.
Tell the Red Cross to deliver medications to the hostages in Gaza. Tell them to stop using Red Cross Ambulances to deliver Hamas' weapons and terrorists. This is why Israel stops the ambulances. Stop supporting terrorism.
