Happy belated birthday, funnily enough our birthdays are three days apart. Now time to watch your impression of a game I'm working on putting 1000 hours into, halfway there.
I have like 900 hours in the game and I have a lot of lv12 decos! There is an event quest where you hunt a tempered furious Rajang and after you do it you get celestial melding tickets which have the highest chance of droping lv12 decos
There's 3 Event quests that give ALOT of high tier Deco: tempered teostra, lunastra and kushala daora in the velkhana arena ! Those missions , with the right party or solo setup tend to only take 5-10 minutes per try. That will give you atleast 40-60 Deco per hour. <3 have fun farming guys Edited, sry was helping people in game with some endgame quests
@@GiddyFoxGaming npnp ! That said: I finished the game a looooooooong time ago and still come back to it to help new players <3 So if anyone needs help with ANY weapon, just hit me up here and we can meet in game x)
A couple notes on useful controls: you can press the "Guard" button to do an overhead slam from any aerial jump or etc (instead of the weak stab thing you do by default). You can press LMB+RMB to go into an overhead slam from the "Running man" attack (W+LMB). After the overhead slam -> full burst, you can continue into the wide sweep -> wyrmstake with LMB -> LMB the way you've been doing, or if you don't have enough time for the wide sweep you can go straight into the wyrmstake with RMB immediately after the full burst.
A common combo for Normal gunlance (which often lives and dies on that burst fire) is to hold guard, thrust with LMB (which is slightly faster than a normal thrust out of guard), quick reload with RMB, then LMB+RMB for a slam and RMB for burst fire. Skipping the rising thrust saves a bit of time.
Dunno if you ever got an answer about guard points. But there isn’t really guard points like CB that you can act out of. I believe the slinger loading animation into the gunlance is considered a guard point but it’s just to keep you covered while loading I think.
I understand that your time with the game is up, but do you remember if the VO has the 3 different language options that World has? It's not a big deal if it doesn't, I'm just curious
Im sure it may have been a lost cause anyway, but at 1:30 did you know you can shorten your stun time by rapidly move left and right and it causes you to recover faster
Imagine if we were in monster hunter world LITTERALLY and this happend I will till my kids about it like : there once a man that said : i will hunt 100 monsters! Everyone said it's impossible but he didn't care The admiral told him : i bet you won't come alive He said : what are you betting on? His admiral said : my title He said : get ready to give me your title And he started his journey He was gone for a whole day that even his admiral said to look for his dead body and laughed after everyone was sure he died he returned and said : i won the bet! Everyone was shocked Because of the meterials he got His admiral said : you really won... Congrats on the title And the hun... No, not a hunter... But a legend that everyone won't forget And from that day he became the greatest hunter of all time That's why everyone wanted to surpass him but couldn't... He was feared by every singal monster Even animals feared him So, how was the story kids?
I didn't even know the main Monster Hunter games before I found this on the app store lol Which is why I'm definitely getting the remaster, this was the first MH game I got and also introduced me to mainline games, which I absolutely love. And apparently my brain kinda sucks and I forgot most of Stories 1's... Well, story. Which just means I can enjoy the game again. 👌
Here's a tip for loading up the wyrmstake, the duration of it staying on the monster is dependent on how much and what type of slinger ammo you load into it. If you load in slinger ammo that is dropped by the monster (piercing pods, thorn pods, ect...) it will last a lot longer then if you load in ammo that you find on the ground (stones, scatternuts, brightmoss, etc...). Also if you load in 5 stones it wont last as long as if you load in 20 stones... that means that the slinger capacity skill is actually not that bad for gunlance.
Agreed! And I think the cell shaded art is so much better. Pokemon is great and all, but Monster Hunter Stories could make a huge splash. Maybe Monster Hunter Stories 3 will revolutionize the genre?!
Benefit of the doubt: They don't want to dub if they can't dub every language, which fair. Deficit of the doubt: "Too expensive, takes too much time, they'll buy it in droves anyway." -TPC
