Oooh this is helpfull! Im an ER/A&E nurse from the Netherlands. Seriously considering workjng abroad for some time. Since I actually have friends in Canada from all my travels its kinda on top of the list.
I wouldn’t recommend paying your creditor anytime after your due date even if the cycle hasn’t ended and don’t pay anymore than 5 days before your due date or your score WILL drop I know because I used to work for a credit card company and I’ve found out from consultants who specialize in credit repair..
I loved this video sis!! I’ve been a CNA for years and my 3 specialities (ED, Psych & Surgical Services) hire LPN’s like crazy with room for growth. For me it just makes sense to do my one year and enjoy that journey. Maybe one day RN will be for me but I’d rather get done in a year and finally get started on being a nurse. I can’t wait to see your LPN-RN journey!
When people tell me to go straight for RN and get my BSN vs ADN-I tell them give me some money for school then.....that's when they get quiet lol. I'm going for my LPN first so while I'm in school for my RN, I can get my nursing experience up (and use that money to help pay for school) vs coming straight out with my RN and no experience. I want to do traveling once I get my RN.
Right LOL! Like just because you have the finances, support and ability to go straight for it, doesn’t mean the same applies to everyone. Do you and imma do me. Period.
May God Bless you and your family with Protection, Wisdom, Knowledge, and Understanding I pray in The Lord Jesus Christ Name to God The Father Thank you precious Holy Ghost Amen here is a video of the Bible way to Heaven ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-2MkpMxUR7hI.htmlsi=6ifVpg5eQqt60paC
i just graduated with my LPN. it took me a year and i loved it. I was able to get my degree faster and work while going to RN school. i came out of school making 31/hr as a LPN. i am now bridging over to my RN. i started my RN pre-q in my LPN class lol. it was HARD af but i did it. so when i graduated with my LPN i was already done with my pre- RN classes. i started from a CNA at 18. i am now 27 because i was not sure if i wanted to continue my nursing degree
My local college is partnering with another college and offered a LPN program. I don’t even know if it was on their website, because I was looking at the RN programs for the last five months and I don’t remember seeing anything. Anyways, I called the other day because I saw a posting on Instagram regarding the program. She said that over 200 people applied for the program and they accepted eight people. Yes, 8 people. She said she didn’t know there was going to be so many people Interested, it was hybrid and $8k.
I’ve been a RN for 18 years and have been a nurse educator for 10 with a Masters degree. I have been teaching RN and LPN for years. LPN is not a waste of time. Not a waste of time if it teaches you valuable lessons. There is more than one way to skin a cat. I’ve had many students stay at an LPN and are fine with that and then I’ve had some LPNs that have gone on to get their RN. What may work for you may not work for everybody else.
Immediately pinned this comment because I know that so many people out will feel reassured by this, especially because you’re an educator. People often try to discourage people from going the LPN route but, some people simply don’t understand that everyone’s situation and goal isn’t the same. Some people want to remain LPNs and others want to become RNs but, it’s not about how you get to the goal, it’s just about getting to YOUR goal. As long as you get there, a win is a win! 🏆
Just from reading the comments and as an LPN do what works for you obviously but I will add one caveat, i know a few LPNs who went to rn school and never past their boards. With that being said in that case it's better to at least have the LPN in the back pocket. Just in case. Good luck and God bless to anyone in school and making career decisions. As for me at 45 i do regret not continuing to become an RN but i am also not one who wants all of the responsibility of an RN.
Lpn n staying Lpn. To all the RNs good for you. In Florida the money and time doesn't equate the raise in money or blood pressure. The goal of me is to leave the field not become another higher qualified nurse. Nursing is non peaceful, hateful and stressful. Up n out. Not up n up. Carry on. 🎉
Well …this advice depends on urself and pace ..different strokes for different folks been there done that all fingers aint equal especially those of us getting into al dis at not so young age but straight from High school why LPn am sure some of us knw what I mean ..u speaking the truth tho but circumstances warrants a lot of us do this bit by bit 😁
Thanks for the video. Just to be certain, when you said you were referring from an old info does that mean registering with NNAS is no longer required?
I went into a 5 semester ADN program that allowed you to sit for LPN boards after 3rd semester. I loved it. I was an LPN and already working for 1 year before completing RN. It gave me the opportunity to start working and gain experience in the field which has helped me so much as an RN. Also because I wasn’t technically a new grad I was able to negotiate better RN pay 💰
Thank you you just helped me decide what I’ve been trying to decide for weeks now. When I found out that it’s 1 year for the Lpn and another year to get rn I realize either way it’s the same 2 years. I don’t mind taking baby steps if I’ll end up at the same destination anyway. ❤
