Hey, I have a problem. When I‘m adding my „topstitch_diffuse“ to my notes, the png is placed randomly into my jeans -It appears two times as a small image on both legs of the front. I could fix this by unwrapping the whole OBJ (Thick,Thin_uw and Thin_w) in Blender; But then I have some random puckering in some places of my jeans. There must be somethinh wrong withe my Uv Editor files right; Or could it be, because I‘m working in a newer version of Blender and also Clo3d? Also when I‘m importing my OBJ to Blender, I‘ve already have the texture of the Denim in my notes; Is that a problem?
@@mateojaramillo609 make sure your nodes are set to UDIM, make sure you have a mapping node and texture coordinate node set to UV and check your UV layouts match. If you have different UVs in clo and blender its because you are importing a different file
@@digitalfashionblender Thank you very much for the answer. I´m still at the same point; The topstitches are applied correctly but only for the png that I dropped on my nodes. Do you know why this is happening? I exported two pngs from my Uv editor in Clo3d, is there a way to mix the two of them so I get the topstitches correctly?
I can’t express how much I’ve missed your videos. Your content has always been a inspiration for me, and seeing you post again truly made my day. Thank you for coming back.....it means more than you know.
That's very kind of you to say! I'm happy you find the videos inspiring and hope they helped you learn a lot. I'm working on some new stuff to come out very soon
when i import my obj into substance painter it is not as smooth as it was in clo/blender. I tried both triangles and quads. triangles is smoother but not as smooth as original mesh in clo/blender. What could i be doing wrong?
how can use this node set up without having to build it from scratch every time i import a new obj file. for instance, how do i use it on a shirt i imported from clo? if i copy and paste the node it affects the original garment.
You can append the material from one project to another, just open your new blender project, click file > Append and then navigate to the project where you built the mateial. Click the blender file and in the materials folder you can select the right material to import into the new project.
@@digitalfashionblender i want to open my print on demand business please tell me what should i use to me the design and clothe more interseting really need help and suggestions
Why did you use the thin layer? When do you bring in the thick layer? Can you just use the thick layer if you only have one material for let's say a jumpsuit?
Hello! I always enjoy your videos, and they've been incredibly helpful. I have a question similar to the one below. When I create a garment with thickness in CLO and then bring the substance textures into CLO or Blender as shown in your video, the texture on the edges of the pattern, or the thick part, appears stretched. In a previous comment, you mentioned that this could happen if the front, back, and side materials are checked in CLO, but in CLO's material tab, the only options for the back and side are "Use same material as front" or "Use same color as front." So, I have to choose between using the same material as the front or assigning a separate material. However, in Substance, I’m working with a thin version of the object, so I can't assign materials to the side. How do I handle this? When I watch your videos, the texture on the thick part of the garment looks fine, without any stretching. How can I achieve the same result? I really enjoy watching your videos, and I appreciate all the work you do. I’m struggling to resolve this texture issue on the thick part of the garment, and I’d be so grateful if you could offer some advice. Thank you so much!
@@kate3306 clo uses your CPU for the garment simulation so I would suggest you looks for a good CPU. The GPU is mainly for rendering so it depends how much focus you want on that. In general it's good to have a balance between the two if you want to make renders of your clo designs :)
LOVE your videos! Would you please make a tutorial on how you would adjust a basic block for a custom garment you want to make a pattern for, like a slightly oversized dress?:) Thank you!
@@maleehaasif7946 I made a on my channel in this series about dart manipulations. Or do you mean like how to use a block to make a looser fit waisted shirt dress for example?
@@digitalfashionblender Yes, like how would I go about using a basic block to make all sorts of garments like a looser fit, a flared fit, something longer, etc. Do I simply extend the darts?
I love the tutorial. Thanks for your help. Could you maybe do also a tutorial for the preferences? I saw when you chose the add-ones that I have a lot disabled. So my question ist which one necessary? When I go on shading and push viewpoint shading I have only the outline of the garment it's not like in your video. How can I change that? Thank you very much <3
