My videos are about educating people on the differences of the Amish religion and the teachings of the Bible. My goal is to help people grow stronger in their faith, and hopefully, they'll be helpful to others who leave the Amish community or other religious groups. I love and respect the Amish people, but their teachings do not correspond with the teachings of the Bible and Jesus Christ, our Savior.
I enjoy and learn from the videos which appear on this channel. But, yes isn't there aways a but somewhere? But the cover scene for this episode, regardless of the topic, is in poor taste. That type of illustration is often referred to as clickbait. It's there to attract attention and hopefully entice viewers to stop and watch. This particular photo is a misrepresentation of topic being discussed here. Bondage scenes are a put off, especially if you intend to quote the Bible.
Ignorance is not bliss. Get yourself a decent SECULAR education, OUTSIDE of this community, not just by going to college but by reading challenging material throughout life. Develop relationships with educated people. Everything in your life will improve.
You know the Amish was kicked out of Germany? They called the Amish a cult. They have their right but majority of it is bs the Lord wants him s children happy
Love the Amish...I am a pastor (Anabaptist) who works in the Amish community of Lancaster, PA day in and out. I meet a lot of nice friendly people who are Amish, but also traditional Mennonite. And yes, some (not all) are cut off from communication with any English and as a person with good discernment/ people skills, I can tell some families have much need for prayer and intervention. I shudder at some of the children I meet. But overall, this is not the norm. Many (especially here in PA) are well adjusted, social (as much as they can be) and highly talkative asking me questions about this or that. All people, no matter what walk of life they are from, in all cultures have good points and bad, and sometimes with communities that are "separate" from outsiders, have an easier time keeping secrets.
I'm a biblical scholar and trust me the Bible doesn't say what you think it does ..especially about sex.. the Bible absolutely 100% not only promotes chattel slavery but encourages it.. the restrictions you'll see in defense of this argument are against a jew owning another jew.. they were encouraged to enslave other people.. including sexual slavery...a woman slave was a man's sex slave and that is all over Jewish law..
It is great you have such a passionate belief in God. Just please take my advice: Accept the fact God made you a human being. He made you as such, so you may be free to learn. Had He wanted you to be perfect, He wouldn't have made you human. I personally went all in on the sexual purity when I found my faith. When I failed, I beat myself up, even got verry depressed about not living up to God's standards. Eventually I even started to view life as God's cruel joke on me. I even stopped praying. Now I am slowly crawling out of this rut, and sometimes I even pray. Accepting the flaws is the most difficult thing about believing. It is part of the penitence proscess, which is: -Erring, sadly we have to do this, for some mysterious divine reason -Realising we did wrong -Accepting our flaws. -Improveing ever so slightly on our mistake. Keeping in mind we're flawed humans, and are made for learning. Just as you don't scream at your husband for leaving the oil bottle out on the kitchen marble. You accept he is a human being, and you need loads of patience to keep the relationship. So too is the relationship between the noble higer soul, and the lowly animalistic body. It's the only way to come clean before God.
@@AmishTransformedyes at an age appropriate level sex education should be taught and even things that i as a Christian don’t agree with I feel in this day and age I have to talk to my kids about for instances gays/transgenders etc that wasn’t an issue for me growing up but now if I don’t teach them it’s wrong some other person will get there first and indoctrinate them, that’s the sad reality unfortunately.
We recently found out some pretty horrible things about my husband’s family, that were kept secret for many years. We were totally horrified by it. Most of the family is defending the perpetrators of course, and keeping it all hush-hush. Such evil should not be kept a secret!
There's an Amish sect about 7 miles to my West that when Rumspringa comes about, the kid is gone for a year. If they're dressing English they cannot show up near their family. Same with driving a vehicle or whatnot. Best I've seen is the kid gone AWOL can deliver or receive letters from a sibling. That's the most mild form of Rumspringa I've seen. The area in my surrounding area does NOT allow Rumspringa at all. Kid goes off, they're gonna get it when they show up.....unless their family is more open than the church/sect they belong to. Kids have been known to be shunned upon returning from their own private Rumspringa. Old Order Amish :/
You should become a lawyer and specialize in representing victims, particularly Amish victims. You have a unique perspective that helps you relate to them.
I also truly appreciate your videos, all of them. I don't know much about Amish people in particular or Anabaptists in general being I am what is commonly known as a Reformed Baptist. I have no reason to doubt your truthfulness though some of your revelations have shocked me. I believe that the problems in the Amish communities sadly often occur when a group of Christians think they are in accordance with God's will when they shut themselves off from the rest of the world and then believe that successive generations will automatically be Christian. This also happened amongst the Puritan Congregationalists in New England. The local church becomes hopelessly corrupted because part of its membership is not Christian at all but pretend to be and the church, including its leadership is also all too willing pretend as well. Groups such as this, determined to be separate from the Body of Christ as a whole also often sadly slip into greater and greater heterodoxy because they refuse to learn from other believers outside of their group by carefully comparing their beliefs with those of others in light of scripture.
Don't get upset or mad or offended at me why are all Amish women pretty and good looking cause where I'm from there some Amish people that own a doughnut shop every woman that works there are pretty and good looking and always nice to customers I wasn't raised Amish and they can cook real good and clean house real good and you look pretty to it just amaze me how Amish people are and how they treat non Amish people real good and how good looking the women are lol
In South Africa we don't have Amish. This culture is completely strange to us. The closest would the blou rokkies - a church group where women have to wear blue uniform type of dresses, long hair tied up in a bun, stockings and "sturdy" shoes. The men just wear whatever they like - it seems.
