This channel is for my associates and I to upload video game music, particularly Etrian Odyssey doujins and arranged albums since they're all really good and many of which can't be found anywhere else on RU-vid. Hope you all enjoy this music as much as we do.
Also, if we respond to any comments, chances are that it's either Pinky or myself (Falcon) speaking.
Also, while we've said it before, I figured it would be worth mentioning here that none of these are our works. What we upload are mostly doujin arrangements (mostly of Etrian Odyssey as of this writing) that one of us have imported. If you're interested in CD rips, just send an email over to thefabuloustroupe@gmail.com
Honestly sounds like it would’ve been a Claret Hollows battle theme instead of Ecstasy/Rapture. Sounds too intense for early and mid game stratums, but would be perfect for 6.
I remember my first time seeing any gameplay of this series with the trailer for the origins collection shown on nintendo direct. I was blown away by the aesthetics, it had this sort of “lonely whimsy” to it without any of the context. I wish I found a game that actually had that, but what EO had was still amazing to go through over the past year or so
Just thought I'd leave one of the coldest quotes from my Etrian Odyssey headcanons, uttered by Felix (a Hexer who used to be part of Esbat) towards Snoop (a War Magus who is secretly a birdfolk) shortly after the Scylla boss fight "...And what the fuck would you know about empathy and courage, birdbrain? YOUR PEOPLE ARE THE REASON ARTELINDE, OLD MAN WILHELM, MARGUERITE AND I HAVE BEEN SUFFERING FOR SO LONG IN THE FIRST DAMN PLACE! If you don't watch your tongue, I WILL IMPALE YOU TENFOLD WITH ICICLES AND LEAVE YOU FOR DEAD IN THE EXACT SPOT MARGUERITE WAS KILLED BEFORE YOUR PEOPLE SNATCHED HER UP AND TURNED HER INTO SCYLLA! So zip it featherback, before I zip YOU in a bodybag."
I actually used this song in two powerful emotional moments in my Etrian Odyssey headcanons: The first is in my first playthrough of EO4, where a Nightseeker named Takane (known amongst certain people as Galeforce) shares her favorite song from her childhood with her boyfriend, a Landsknecht named Siiva, and they dance. The second is in my second playthrough of EO4 (which take place 8 years after the first playthrough and 7 years after the aforementioned Landy, Siiva has died), on the 7th anniversary of Siiva's death, where Takane returns to the inn earlier than the rest of the guild and pops the casette that she and Siiva drew a heart on into the radio in the room in the Saehrimnir Inn that she and Siiva stayed at and just sits there on the bed crying for the entire song, though her new boyfriend, a Runemaster named Flynn leaves both his katanas in the doorway and gives her a shoulder to cry on around 2:45 into the song because Takane left the door unlocked. It's worth mentioning that Siiva was the main protagonist in the first playthrough of EO4 and the main protagonist of the first 3 Labyrinths of my first playthrough of Nexus (he died literally right after the Wyvern fight), Takane is the dueteragonist in the first playthrough and the main protagonist of the second playthrough, as well as one of 3 extra party members tagging along in the EO3 HD playthrough, in addition to the fact that Flynn is the main protagonist of my Eldest Path playthrough of EO3 DS and one of 3 extra party members tagging along in the EO3 HD playthrough. Before you ask how Takane got ahold of a casette, she's from the empire, and I guess they got that kinda shit over there (and judging from her alias "Galeforce", you can probably figure out which Imperial adopted her when she was very young), and you can probably figure out why Flynn dual-wields katanas.
Man, I love fanfic/headcanons for runs. I have a habit of naming my guild members after guildmates I had back in the day playing WoW because it just tickles my nostalgia a certain way remembering those wonderful times. A friend of mine was a big fanfic writer for the series and it was always fun how different people would insert different sub-stories into the fairly barebones game ones.
@@TheFabulousTroupe yeah, I especially like tying my guildmembers in with actual NPCs, for example: Takane being the adopted daughter of Logre, Sayori being Visil's granddaughter, Nozomi being being the daughter of the Eldest One, Bureto being Kujura's younger brother, DK being Wynne's cousin (whoever Wynne's aunt married was a primate Therian (the only Therians seen in EOV are of the canine and lagomorph variety, meaning that primate Therians (what DK is) and feline Therians (what Felix is) may be native to realms outside of Arcania)), and Felix being both a former member of Esbat and Solor's boyfriend (they had a falling out during my second playthrough of EO5, so Felix is now Solor's ex). Ignore the fact that I gave my guild members meme names, I did it as a tribute to SiIvaGunner years ago, then the names just stuck, so now I have this duality of serious characters with unserious names (which creates beautiful out of context sentences like "Grand Dad saved Robbie Rotten from being executed for piracy", "Eminem got killed by baboons", "Sylen (was originally Silento, but I changed the name so it feels like an actual name) got turned into a vampire by the Overlord, so now he bites his girlfriend Sayori's neck in the bedroom", "when Chad goes Fafnir Mode, his theme song just starts playing from literally nowhere and everyone can hear it", and "Sens nuked Damavand for fun").
Unfortunately I do not. There used to be a few people who uploaded on this channel, of which I am the last person remaining. I personally own the vast majority of the Etrian Odyssey albums and ripped them myself, but not the few Touhou ones.
@TheFabulousTroupe Are you still around? Why are there so many Etrian Odyssey albums like this?! Not that I don't think they're deserving of this treatment, it just feels like there's a disproportionate amount, somehow. I love them all. Do you know anything about the history of all these?
Kind of! I had a baby and am online even less than I was, but I still check in when I can. Honestly, I have no idea how Etrian Odyssey hit it so relatively big in the doujin scene. There's a pretty big doujin market in Japan, though, so much so that you can actually find these at hobby stores and whatnot, which just isn't so much a thing in the U.S. I guess it probably just comes down to the fact that Yuzo Koshiro is an absolute legend among game composers, and his work on the series is SO good, which gives people a lot to work with. As you say, I'm absolutely not complaining, but it is a little surprising how much stuff there is.
i remember when i first heard this. it really threw me for a loop. my initial exposure to etrian odyssey was a huge medley of all the battle themes, and hearing something i didn't recognize in-game was wild. i almost gaslit myself into thinking that i HAD heard it before, even though i hadn't and it wasn't in the medley. regardless, i absolutely love it. i feel like it fits the battle and the game perfectly. the climactic finish to an arduous journey full of ups and downs. lovely :3 (also my particular defeat of primevil was crazy and super close, so i think that makes me like this song even more :3)
I think I've listened to almost every track you've uploaded here on this channel but there's just something real special about this one that I keep coming back to. Also heavily influenced by my bias since EO3 was my first EO game lol. Thank you for having uploaded all these arrangements because I just love coming back them after a long while and going back down the rabbit hole of listening to my favorites.
So glad to hear it. Ayahuasca was one of my first albums that really got me into this, and this is one of my most listened to tracks - along with the SAV version of it. Such a great album.
@@TheFabulousTroupe Absolutely they do. It'd been a while since I'd listened to the super arrange albums - it's always a treat coming back to them. The sax solo in Those That Slay and Fall is also fantastic!
Sort of from a game. These "super arrange" albums are official Atlus stuff that they did a side-release with the actual game. I do believe these ones are all on Spotify, but via the actual publisher.
God, tell me about it. I got it in me to play Fire Emblem 7 recently, a game I bought *at release*, and I just saw that it released 21 years ago as of today.
Ah! I love to see comments on this album. It's one of my personal favorites but just doesn't have the listens that a lot of the others do. Especially surprising considering it's an official one!
heh, there's a few like that in this album especially. The fact that they switched to a regular soundboard makes these feel like kinda just alternatives instead of arrangements.
Apologies for the slow response time; it's just the name of this album. It's not a game or anything, but just an album of GB-Style arrangements for Etrian Odyssey.
Oh, is it just a shop theme from Digital Devil Story 2? Admittedly, I have not played much of the SMT games (I bought this album for the Etrian Odyssey content). I will absolutely update the description and tags though if you can confirm, some decade late.
@@TheFabulousTroupe I know it's two months later and I'm not the original commenter, but I can confirm that this is a shop theme from Digital Devil Story 2! It's in Kyuuyaku as well, but that was a remake of DDS 1 and 2, so that would be why.
my god what first its the normal boss/powerful enemys then change to the sea boss music im happy but it bring back nightmare on how evil cheap and OP those bosses are
