My name is Polo, I have 20+ years experience in audio/MI industry. I am a keyboard player, mixing engineer, music producer and journalist, former editor-in-chief of the biggest recording magazine in Poland. I hope can bring something to the table, so you make better music and always be ispired:)
Day and night difference on your first song.. feel like Nectar is for less detailed oriented ppl who don't have the knowledge or time tween their recordings
Great video, thank you. I’m also switching from logic and studio one. I still like both of them but to use the updated features in logic I’d have to buy a new mac. To use the new plugin in s1, I’d have to subscribe, (never doing that). I especially liked s1 too, but I must move forward without them. 🎹♥️
Q. when you change scenes as it's playing it's immediate...do.. how does it work.. does it jump to bar 1 beat 1 of the new scene or just swap in the middle of where ever you are in the previous scene.. like beat 3 for example?
got some G4 7s the best bang for your buck (KRK Rokit not necessarily the G4 7) that there is bright but not obnoxious tons of bass though i use a sub too, an amazing set, im interested in the Rokit 10/3 maybe
Re: External MIDI keyboard control. Apparently there is a problem (mid-May 2024) in that each drum is on it’s own separate MIDI channel. I really don’t get Yamaha’s logic on this one. Except maybe for some dubious internal routing choices. They were MIDI pioneers and now they do this! I have an advanced MIDI (DIN cable based) patch bay/processor, the MIDITEMP MT16X, that can split/distribute the input signal to the channels of your choice. I’m sure there are newer (and cheaper) alternatives. Working in the garden, it struck me: Why not make a MIDI-channel-splitter-rerouter-for-the Yamaha-Seqtrack. Small box, no power needed, like the Anatek Pocket Pedals. I would buy one😎 Any takers? I also have a slight problem reading the grey text on the black buttons, (I like Black) when they're not lit up. Just thought this was good to know, before pulling the trigger on this one, Otherwise I'm, so far, very happy with my unit.
Nice demo! I have plugins from UAD, Komplete 14, and the Izotope Music Production Suite 6. I watched your video on Nectar 4 as well. Do you have an opinion on how the Arturia FXs compare to Izotope?
Great video! Don't underestimate your original vocal chain and plugins - well done. I have Nectar 4 advance and I'm struggling with 'Backer' and 'Voices' to find something good quality sounding. Both those modules seem to introduce noise and artifacts that I don't really want. I can tame them them with RX, but that's like going around in circles. The robotic, vocoder, distortion FXs are interesting, but similar to Izotope VocalSynth - so I wonder if 'Backer' is just the same code? I had higher expectations for the voices harmonies.
It sounded similar to your mix, but the vocals felt a bit too compressed. There was like 0 dynamic in her voice. Your mix sounded waaaaaaaaayyyyyyyy better!
Hey, I have a similar gut feeling:) Thanks, it is nice too hear, However I remember I worked on the original mix much longer than on the Nectar version, but I guess smoother sounding saturation and more soothe made a bit more musical
Actually I remember I looked for some presets and didn't find any, and I thought maybe it was pre-release version that didn't have any, but forgot to ask about it;) Good question though. Unfotunately I won't be able to check it within next days. But I don't think it is a problem, the truth is you have to tweak it extensively for each source and it don't take long. Most DAWS will allow for saving some track/rack presets anyway
Can you correctly explain how to use the side-chaining feature of the arp2600? For example: playing my guitar through the Arp2600? No one has yet to explain this. Id appreciate it if you could give a very basic demo 🙏🏻
Finally I'm getting the idea of the Arturia AstroLab, being an Arturia stage synthesizer/keyboard for live performers. Like Arturia software as hardware. And finally a keyboard with aftertouch. Nice, I like it. 🙂👍 There has to be a black version one day. 😎
I also always considered the headphone output impedance source when selecting a headphone to use ( not having a headphone amplifier that can drive different ohms loud enough )
where to buy n download....cant find in Arturia website....or just dont know how..... reviewers go on and on telling what it is.... but forgot the begginners are in another dimension while they speak........ beginners are the ones wil giv u the support....
No. Beginners make you lose time with pretty obvious things. You can’t be serious if you say you can’t find the Arturia V Collection… just use something called google.
So did you buy or get it sent to you? It's not clear and I want to take your video seriously - but that's hard to do when it's not clear if you purchased it or have a "reviewers gift."
Perfect review, I didn’t know these existed until tonight. Was looking for a good review and I definitely found it! Edit… I just want to add that I read when speaker manufacturers make a speaker it’s usually the 8” model that is designed first and other sizes are subsequent designs. Edit just bought my pair of Rokit 8” gen5 based on this review, thanks! On route.
