People out here watched the video and heard what he said about the price and still trying to complain about it .... He literally said it's the price in Australia.
Loved that video on the flag tail prochilodus! You should do a species profile on : the different types of datnoids&buck tooth tetra ( can they have tank mates?) do you think datnoids can have a Jaguar for a tank? Thanks looking forward to your reply.
Thanks heaps for the feedback! I definitely plan on making more species profile type videos in the future. As for datnoids, in my personal experience they will be fine with Jaguar cichlids, however like with all cichlids they can be territorial so there would needs to be a few rocks or ornaments around which they can claim their territory.
@@ObsidianExotics thanks for responding. Can buck tooth tetra exists in a tank with bottom feeder tank mate?(This is where the tetras would be added after the other fish were established).
I don't do any importing as of yet maybe one day I'll have a quarantine facility where I could do it but even then Australia doesn't allow the import of Arowana or Flowerhorns.
@@markkaupas8921 took me 6 months to get around to finishing my 4500L one 🤣 had it for 2 years then misso had enough of it taking up a whole room and had to shut it down
Hey mate, they aren't very easy to find but they do occasionally come up on the market. You can contact my business page on Facebook to stay updated on stock levels.
Hey mate, I haven't done much research on them, but I have heard of them by their common name ( Tiger knifefish ) As for the Royals, I'm well aware they are very common in most parts of Asia or America but they are extremely rare in Australia where I'm based, possibly even less than 30 in the whole country
I don’t get how you can spend so much money on fish only to toss them in a large tank with no decor. That tank looks awful. It reminds me of a public swimming pool. Please add some substrate and decor, and paint the walls of the tank.
Hey mate thanks for your feedback. I completely agree with having substrate and decore in the tank. However, this particular tank is part of a stingray breeding tank, which is why the tank is kept bare. In the long term, I plan on setting up a proper display tank for them with plenty of decore and substrate.
atleast learn on "why" it is kept that way before jumping to conclusion and making judgements , i hope you're above 20 years of age else this is just shameful
@@aaraadhyaandaakayaata - Well the guy responded to my post 3 weeks ago, so yeah, I heard his reasoning. I stand by my initial point. The tank looks like ass. I don’t think painting the tank, adding sand and minimal decor is too big of an ask. As for my age, what difference does it make? I can tell you’re a millennial, because you take offense to everything, so grab your emotional support animal, and go protest some grave injustice somewhere. You can save the world.
Use some carbon pads/carbon bags or even setup a purigen reactor. The tannins will vanish and the clarity will be top notch. I know you would know this but just saying it anyway (Reactor for purigen is insanely good on my tank) I like the scape, may not be an olvier knott etc. but i can see the fish enjoying the space and the structure. To me the health and enjoyment of the fish are far more important.
Thanks mate! I initially had a few carbon pads and some packs of purigen in there but the driftwood piece is pretty big so can't seem to remove it quick enough. So now I'm just letting it slowly depleat over time with each water change. And yeah you definitely won't be seeing me at any Aquascape competitions anytime soon 😂
@@ObsidianExotics Ah mate the tank scape is great I really do like it. Maybe try some bolbitus mine thrived when I had tannins seemed to love it. I really recommend purigen or something like that (Macropore) it seems to go a lot further and actively pull a lot more out. I had the same issue as you when I put an entire weathered Gumtree stump in my tank, but with purigen/Macropore etc. it quickly sucked it all up and I haven't had issues since. This was a big 1x0.8m piece too.
@jonathankool1997 Yeah was actually thinking of doing Bolbitus if the Java fern didn't work out. Definitely might give the Macropore a try. Heard a few people say good things about it.
@isrra5ever I'll do you one better, I'll give you 10 guppies for $1000 and 3 free goldfish. You can go and sell it and make a profit of $1500. Learn how to listen before writing shit down. Those are prices in Australia.
Hahaha thanks bro! just to clarify the prices are for multiples lol 2 x Platinum Senegals ( $1200ea) 3 x Teugelsi Bichir ( $1000ea ) 4 x Fire eels ( $650ea ) 1 x Flagtail $150 1 x L600 $450 1 × L190 $2500 Obviously the combined numbers look better on the thumbnail hahaha
If you use a shorter hose you'll get better suction but if you must use a long hose go to bunnings and buy a 30mm hose you pay per meter but really helps the job along also cheers for the content the l114 are my favorite plec what do you guys pay for datnoid over there
Thanks mate! I do actually use a 30mm hose when I want to dump alot of water quickly. But with the gravel syphon I use a standard garden hose so I can run the water out to the back garden. Yeah L114 are actually slightly rarer here compared to L600. As for datnoids they can he anywhere from $350 for a tiny juvie to almost $2000 to a high quality adult.
