We are from India, and in North India, English is mostly taught from childhood, with a particular focus on British English. However, in recent times, ever since Hollywood movies have become quite popular here, we tend to consider American English more normal than British English. In other words, British English pronunciation is used in schools, but American English feels more appropriate in everyday life.
I like American english accent more than British english accent because American english accent is more smooth accent to listen to for me. And as I have learn english by myself after just graduated from grade 6 and after that I left school and never go back to school again for to work. I like watching American movies so I speak both American english accent and British english accent mix.
