This performance is the same year that I was born . Lead guitarist has those bell bottom pants on! Flash back to my mother sending me to school for picture day (kindergarten) dressed in a rainbow and clouds polyester dress shirt and bell bottom pants. Why no one called child protective services I have no idea. 😀
Humble Pie’s “Stone Cold Fever” is one of my favorite all time songs. My band covered it in the 70s and it was a blast to play. Never got any air time in the US that I’m aware of though. Shame.
It only go to show that no matter how low, or poor, or small, or simple, or from up north you are, if you practice like FOREVER, you can eventually get it right… 😅
Keep your eyes open, they still tour. I saw them in 1975. I started going to their shows when I was in high school. When I went to my permanent duty station in Germany I made sure I had 'On Your Knees or On Your Feet' with me. It was an 8tracks as a matter of fact.lol. I've been listening to them for a long time and still listen to the first four albums regularly.
Love lead guitar but cant help putting that to the side to listen to AF's bass. Whod ever imagine a lead singer, lead guitarist, bassist and drummer could produce stuff of magic like this? I❤the 70s
A true band at top of form, incredibly tight yet lose and free al la the Mick Taylor era Stones. Quite fortunate to say I saw this lineup several times and this specific tour in Atlanta.
