Reviving the Golden Age of the British Dance Bands and associated themes.
All recordings used are out of copyright, most actually over 70 years old. Images used are almost all from contemporary publications of the same vintage as the music; most of which are long out of print. I will be happy to remove any material which inadvertently breaches any proven copyright.
The illustration of the gramophone associated with my channel is the work of my talented friend, Maureen Miranda, who kindly drew it for me. instagram.com/maureen_miranda/

Ambrose was featured band on BBC, some periods daily early ebening show. Notice strings on most, and 'swing' style in late 20's and early 30's before swing became generalized.
i would have loved to have seen these musicians live ,but alas i was born n 1954 and missed out on fabulous times it was all over by then thank goodness it was all captured on 78s
Nice big band arrangement. Very different from the other version by Milt Herth & his trio. Hopefully one day I’ll create a stride piano solo in this tune. Feels like I want to dance with this version, lovely tune
