A Tribute to Van Phillips
Van had died earlier that month, and Alan Dell pays tribute to the musician, bandleader, arranger, composer who played a big part in the British Dance Band scene of the 1920s and 1930s.
Recordings are by the Savoy Havana Band, Van Phillips and his Band, the Four Bright Sparks and Van Phillips and his All Star Orchestra.
