The thing I love on this that my Easton doesnt have is the slots in the tray. This allows for debris to fall thru, and not get mixed in with the split firewood. Thanks for the vid

Great video, honest and informative. The MS271 is proof that Stihl homeowner saws are worthwhile given it was used with a dull chain for years. Keep up the good work and be safe.

I can also attest first hand to Wolfe Ridge customer service being second to none. I wont go into the details of the issues I had, other than to say there was an oversight on the specs of the machine I ordered. Not only did Chris see to it that it was put right immediately, but he did so without the slightest hesitation or concern for what it might cost him financially. He went above and beyond for me, until I was more than satisfied. If karma does what it is supposed to do, then he will reap the rewards many times over. Good on ya, Chris. My machine is awesome.

@Colby’s Firewood - saw a comment where you were saying you wished you had sized up to the box wedge machine? I need to ask why? I am approaching the time where I need to place an order for a Wolfe Ridge, & trying to find out which model to select. Any in site would be appreciated on why you selected the machine you did. Thanks in advance & Enjoy your day Around the Yard! - Brent

I h=think that with another 4 or 5 years of a lot of practice you will turn out to be very good at this. As of now it is very clear that you really don't know what you're doing. Nothing at all wrong with that everyone starts somewhere! Good for you friend have at it!

The real dirty truth Colby is that six way wedges don't speed you up. They are slow and problematic. Your better off with a single or at most a 4 way. Time yourself doing several cords each way and you'll see what I men. I found it out the hard way myself.

Sounds a lot different than my experience with splitter E. Whenever I contact them for a problem, it seems their goal is to prevent spending any money and deny that my problem is a problem. When I did get them to send me parts to fix a leak, they sent the wrong part and I decided to spend my money at a local hydraulic shop to get the right fitting. Brand E is too focused on serving the YT community at the expense of those of us that don’t have a channel.

Great point about "seasoned dry firewood " I am the Firewood chair for Falmouth Lion's, Maine. We cut ,buck process 24 cord a year. Our 2023 wood is in the Lion's den. Oak takes 12 to 18 months to season.

That big square platform this thing is built off of is completly unnecessary and gets in the way big time. If I had to walk back and forth like that to load it then switch sides to run it I'd be calling Chris about more than broken parts. It really makes no sense because this type of splitter is commonly used with a conveyor and should be operated mainly from the load side. IDK, maybe you just got really ,short arms?
@kevinhenry7273
@kevinhenry7273 Год назад
Can you load and operate from the same side? Cumbersome if you have a conveyor and have to go around after loading the lift.
