Great video, honest and informative. The MS271 is proof that Stihl homeowner saws are worthwhile given it was used with a dull chain for years. Keep up the good work and be safe.
I've never had a bad ex6with a stihl saw. I've done a little different than some folks,in that I've bought used pro saws from pawn shops. The only exception is my stihl ms310,but it was still a pawn shop saw. I started with a 50cc dolmar 111i that was a great saw,but parts become scarce. Then I bought the ms310 that's been just great for almost 10 years now and I bought a ms441cm that was almost new save for a cracked chain brake handle and busted air filter cover. I only gave $450 for it and its cut the bulk of my wood for 8 years now. The ms310 is great, but almost as heavy as the 441. I keep it because I only paid $299 for it 10 years ago. I dont do it for money, only for my house, but I go through a good bit each year. Thanks for sharing
Thanks for the info. I have a MS291 with a 20" bar and would like to get another saw with a 25" bar. Was thinking about a MS391. I currently cut about 10 cords a year for myself and to sell.
I had the chance to but a great looking 290 for $150, but I waited a day and missed out on it. For 10 cords you can’t beat the 391. It’ll be all the saw you need and it won’t break the bank.
