I work as a football commentator and a conference interpreter. I want to use this channel to explore specific areas of language learning and the football industry. From my own experiences learning languages to in-depth interviews with industry experts, let's shed a light on the wonderful worlds of football and languages!
Great video Patrick! I love your Commentary as a Juventus fan, I always enjoy watching Highlights with your Commentary and Voice in it, very great creativity! (please scream for a Juventus goal like that one time you screamed for Raspadori's Napoli goal against Juventus in extra time)
great vid here Patrick. with the podcast discontinued, i hope we get to hear you more. def would subscribe to your patreon if you decide to start one. would love to see a italian sports paper review (daily or weekly)
Hello Patrick big fan You’re my favourite commentator believe it or not But definitely the last one It’s easier to pronounce honestly and football fans are used to it.
Can we please stop calling it "soccer"? It's simply absurd when the majority of the world starts adapting to a minority, one country at that, which doesn't even care about the game.
What you said is absolutely incredible. I enjoyed every bit of it. I am Emmanuel, a football commentator from Nigeria, who has made several commentaries on highlights and more. I would love to have some commentary time with you. To be frank and sincere, while you were talking, I actually got more than a few tips on how to become a football commentator. Thanks a lot; you did absolutely great. Lastly, I would love you to be my mentor. If you don't mind, I would like to send you highlights of matches on which I have made commentaries so you could probably rate my performance as a Nigerian football commentator.
Hii . I want to talk to you? Can we please talk? I want to do commentary in football or formula 1 . My query os commentary a high paying job? Do commentator has high fan following?
I would call being a native english speaker an untintended _advantage_ . There are no greater _rights_ or _freedoms_ between a native english speaker and a non native english speaker. Also, your career is stupid. Get a real job.
Hey Patrick, it isn't bad if i use football mobile game to do my commentary practice, is it? I have a game file called ppsspp gold that kind of makes the mobile game look like a playstation game but a wack kind though, it makes it easy for me to actually do my commentary because the names are displayed on the screen then i make screen records to hear my voice, is that good? By the way, i love your videos and i love how you multivate we up coming commentators by replying our messages, we really appreciate, it's a wonderful drive.
Please Kendrick Patrick, can i send you an email as well if you don't mind? I love commentary and I'm very enthusiastic about getting into the industry, i also have good commentary talent and I'm just looking for a guideline to being a wonderful commentator and i need people like you in my life and by the way! Lest i forget, you kind of sound like my best commentator in English football (Peter Drury)if you don't mind I'll love to be connected to you, it would help me.
I love commentary but I'm from Nigeria, i desire to be the best commentator in the world and I'd love to be based on English football. I practice as well as i can but the country I'm in doesn't seem to adopt talents like that but i hope to be found by world English commentary one day and be a main commentary star. I love Peter Drury and he's my best commentator and I look at him to be the best in the world because he's so good at what he does and i want to be better than him someday.
Your content is impressive! Yet, it might lack optimization, hindering its reach and engagement. This could explain lower metrics like subscribers, views, likes, watch time, and comments. I've analyzed your channel and identified areas for enhancement. If interested, I'd gladly share the report for further discussion. Let's collaborate to elevate your content's impact
Looking forward to more content Patrick. My family and I are always excited when you and Manuel cover the Serie A game we're watching. As someone who learned Italian in Canada, you're also a great inspiration to continue to improve - thanks so much for that!
Loved the video! My dream is to one day commentate in a top league in football. I’m currently going to college but I don’t know what to take to get myself into the scene of commentary. Any tips?!
Hi Matt, thanks for watching. When you say college do you mean it in the American sense of university? If so, try and get involved in broadcasting the college soccer matches. The most important commentary job is the first one - the sooner you start, you sooner you start improving!
Patrick - I'm a big fan of your commentary. Your professionalism with pronunciation of players' names and exciting call of important moments in Serie A's biggest matches is second to none. Hope to see you in the Premier League some time.
Loved James through his output on the Totally Show and the European edition and refreshing to hear him talk about his language journey. I remember someone had a dig at him on Twitter for how he was pronouncing a name and he replied, well yes that's how it should be. Lovely and funny guy!
I am a student of Journalism in a Higher Institution of Learning in Cameroon and my dream is to becoming A Great Football Commentator... Thus thanks for being there...... Peter Dury is my mentor l am honoured knowing him....
Patrick - my family and I are huge fans of yours; you have been the voice of Napoli matches since we started following the team in 2020. We are traveling to Italy in December (with a visit to the Stadio Olimpico on the agenda) and would love to get in touch and buy you a drink. Is there any place to find your contact information? Perhaps a seldom-monitored email inbox somewhere?!
I liked this two years ago Patrick but realised I never watched it. Great, interview Patrick, reallly enjoyed it. You and James both do very well spreading Serie A to English ears!
Big Smoke based. Echoing Massimo comment to the fullest! And your italiano fluency beats my venetian-dialect-affected one's by miles lol. Ciao bello, @@kendrickpatrick!
hello patrick just wondering about your instagram username as i would like to talk in private with you as i just got a commentary job and have a few questions
@@kendrickpatrick okay thanks so i got a job with a local team in the uae and i’m using my macbook as my streaming source and a gopro to livestream the match with my commentary over and streaming on youtube i was just wondering because we are in a lower league it’s hard to research abojt the club i know the owners should i ask for an entire team sheet so when it comes to a game i’m confident and any other way? your very lucky working in serie a so easier to research about teams and players but i have to start somewhere ans this is my start so any tips on researching?
Hey! I don't know if you read these anymore, but i was thinking can i do commentating as fulltime job, or do i have do it as a side job? Also i remember when famous finnish football commentator "Mikko Innanen" said this: "Remember, it's impossible to pleasure all people with your commentating".
Wow things went on a little bit of a rollercoaster ride after this video. Really hard to be a juventus fan right now. I saw an article by the ultras mentioning how this new scandal makes it difficult for Juve to get new/young fans. I love your commentary btw. I always thought you were older. How long have you been doing this? Did you do the coppa italia game between Juve and Lazio yesterday?
Hi Patrick! I am 13 and trying to improve on my skills in commentary. But I am Interested in how to get that early experience live on TV. Or on a radio and such. What age until I can apply for these stints so I can get some more experience under my belt.
Hi Patrick, I don’t want this to come across as rude, but I would like to know how much commentary pays so I can decide if I should pursue it as a main career or secondary to something else. I was also just offered a radio sports segment on our local radio and was wondering if that would help me at all, or at least get some experience. Thanks!
