This is Probly one of my favorite inquisitor kit bashes on RU-vid!! Love inquisitors in power armor and yours is really unique!! Great work brother! Would love to see another!!
This does not help an entirely new player build a kill team at all. This seems like a guide for people who already know where to find the rules for each miniature variation, how to actually build a team now that points are gone, etc. Where do I even begin? I bought the Phobos Kill Team box and the Core Book, there is absolutely no guidance in the box or the book that tells me what I can build, what each build variation does etc. Totally at a loss.
Super new to kill team, I just bought the nightmare box on a whim. What miniature are you using for your visionary? It looks much different than the one in the box lol
@@thesoysaucegod6007 Thanks! That head is from the CSM chosen kit. If you're looking for cool bodies, weapons, bits, and alternate heads, the Chosen box is your best bet!
Thank you sir. Only 1.5 games into KT, but ive 100% been doing this with my fun time. "Allow your hobby to be a hobby [don't] give it permission to upset you." Cheers to the gravy of gaming, something unnecessarily wonderful on top of the stuff that really matters in life.
Fantastic video mate. I was/am really low on these guys coming from a Tzeentch legionary and Warpcoven background, winning loads with those two teams, even pre buff Warpcoven I was smashing it. Only played 5 games so far and hated it really, always felt so fragile and APL deficient compared to those other teams. But you have given me some excellent insights and I’m looking forward to playing them more. So you play pretty aggressive with your leader due to that -2 dice combo? Were you also pretty aggressive with your legionary leader?
Thanks, man. Love me some Legios! With Legios, I always tried to let him die in T3. As long as I got three rounds of free ploys, it’s fine if he died T3. But yeah, he’s got a plasma pistol so he’s got to use it lol. Gotta send him out into the world to put a hole in your opponent
My group plays IMC as though Obscuring trumps "Treat the target as if they have an Engage order". Thankfully nobody in my 12 player group is the type to try to win via rules-technicality like that. I'll eat my hat if they don't FAQ this and say that IMC still works if you are behind cover. Edit: I was initially down on the Skinthief and what I misread as an underwhelming ability. After using him and having him single handedly win me a game against Vet Guard by stopping my opponent's last operative from scoring a souped up Escalating Hostilities objective I take him every time.
Also, much better against Hordes. A frag grenade with drip damage often can shift breakpoints a lot. Poisoning the objective generally feels like a waste of time
i agree with fearmonger. with an average 2 damage per turn he doesnt have the damage to outright threaten a kill without extra shots. the fact that if your opponent parries or blocks your crits the grenade and melee weapon wont poison operatives. on paper he seems scary, but in practice i dont think he works well the skinthief and ventriolkator are both great for stealing objectives. skinthief charges, fights, then causes a second operative to be unable to hold the objective allowing the steal. the ventrilokator moves on, forces a guy to dash off, then counts a 4APL to steal this team seems to excel at chip damage and bullying low wound teams, and i would like to see the "we have come for you" ploy changed to charge action rather than charge for first activation, to allow for shoot charge fight kills, or maybe shoot charge shoot with the shoot twice strat ploy
Into body dense teams FM makes sense especially on ITD, but hard to argue with a heavy bolter in a lot of matchups. Yeah these guys kill better than almost anyone else haha
Thanks, dude. The basic Skin is recipe is a pale skin tone base, purple or pink contrast thinned down and the highlighted back up to a little brighter than what I started with. Super quick and easy
Thanks! The broad strokes are pro acryl Blues going from black blue up to regular blue for the armor, pro acryl brass for the trim, and some new Vallejo reds with a pro Acryl fluro red for the plasma. The glow from the floor which isn’t totally finished is some red pumped through an airbrush.
Well done! The Night Lords have indeed come for us; I was at the Bay Area Championship this weekend (a lovely six-round event put on by Squad Games), and Mr. Jimmy Kelly won it all with the Nemesis Claw. Scary stuff!
@@battlebrotherstabletop I agree. This video was great. I havent played Kill Team in a few months, but this got me hyped to play some again. Thinking about how I can use Sternguard models for the Intercession team.
