Having gone through hell and starved as a child, whenever I get a chance, I want to EAT!
Hi, I'm Lee Thoeun!
I'm a real survivor of the killing fields in Cambodia. At the age of six, I lose my mother; I learned to survive by hunting birds, killing snakes, rodents, and catch fish (with bare hands) for food! I have first-hand knowledge of survival, can cook, and want to share my real-life experience with you.
Brief About Me: I attended Renton Technical College and City University.
Martial Arts🥋 I practiced Kickboxing, Karate, Taekwondo, and Hapkido. I competed (Taekwondo) in Washington State and Vancouver, B.C., Canada.
Acting🎭& Modeling: I worked with Hollywood stars such as Angelina Jolie, Mark Walberg, Jared Leto, and Mr. Robert Conrad.
I appeared in Karaoke videos with Ampor Tevi, Pisith Pilika, and Hulk Leakhena.
Yeah, it looked big when I saw his pole bent. Thanks, my friend. What’s the biggest bass you ever caught? If it’s local, I’d like to check the lake out.
Were you fishing for trout? East side is your best bet. Cast out about 70-80 yards out with 6’ leader. I used chartreuse floating power eggs with #6 hook. You’ll get them.
I remember Banh Canh soup! I haven't heard this food for over decades! I love either the pho noodles or pad see ew noodles for banh canh soup. I thought those were white potatoes in your soup :)
@@LeeThoeun Diakon? I've never had that before but I will try it. It is getting really hot in California so I'll eat em at night. You are very welcome :)
You are eating great foods! If I was there, I'll be eating the fried rice and wonton soup first 😊 The place is fantastic like you have said in the video :)
I saw this 5 year old boy with a little tyke fishing rod catch the biggest cat fish I’ve ever seen out from underneath the dock there at green lake. Fake salmon egg on a hook
Nice! Thanks for sharing this good news. I was at the southwest corner of the lake always cast out and caught small catfish in the past. But, let them go so they can get big. Never seen big ones yet.
Yes, I saw the news on it (i.g. a 45 lbs. catfish caught by Ahmed years ago). I was there just killing some time after grabbing burgers from Kidd Valley.
Thanks, Jake. I had my fingers in the bass lip, then changed it to cradle. But, the fish kept wanting to jump, so I shifted my fingers to the gills lightly to finish the video. Once released the bass took off so fast. You're right. It's alive and well.
Hi, I'm brand new to fishing and live near Green Lake. What does the process look like for cleaning fish when you're at a public park, without access to a sink or anything? Do you just bring a bucket for the blood and entrails, then dump them in the trash?
Welcome to the neighborhood. I don't usually clean my fish at the lake due to the water quality. But, if you were to clean your fish there then yeah, you can either toss the guts into the lake for other fish/ ducks to eat or wrap it into a bag and dispose of it. Probably clean it in an area where no swimmers are around :) Green Lake is such a beautiful lake. Have fun with your catch, my friend.
Hi Julie, Thanks for stopping by. I just whipped the recipe up real quick for you :) You can cook with ground beef, chicken, or pork. 1 lb. of ground meat 1 cup of oyster mushrooms (or your choice). 1 packet of vermicelli noodles Some green onion Preparation: Soak vermicelli with hot tap water for 10-15 minutes. Put the ground meat into a big bowl. Cut mushrooms into small pieces. Mince a couple of cloves of garlic. Thinly slice green onion. Strain and cut vermicelli noodles into 2-3” long. Put all of that with the ground meat. Add 1 tbsp of chicken bouillon, 1 tbsp salt, and 1 tsp sugar, MSG is optional. But, if you use it just a little sprinkle on the meat. Add a little bit of black peppers and all of these ingredients to the meat bowl. Mix by hand for about a minute or till you feel the ingredients are all mixed in. Let it sit. Boil a pot of water, maybe 5-6 cups of water. Let it boil. Then make meatballs out of the mixed meat and add them to the pot. You can leave the heat on high. As you put more meatballs into the pot it will not boil over. Unless it starts boiling hard then you might want to turn the stove down a little bit. To a medium-high, per se. You can add more salt, fish sauce, and sugar for taste. Once the meat is done cooking you can cut more green onions about 1-2” long and add them to the pot. That will give it a nice greenish look. Hope you enjoy it. Thanks! Lee Thoeun
Indeed. There were two hooks from two separate lines in that fish’s mouth. I think it broke off from someone’s line and then got caught by this gentleman. He removed the two hooks with ease.
You’re welcome. Thanks for your visit. Yes, bring your family. It’s a nice clean park for BBQ, places for kids to play, swim, proper restroom to use, and you can fish as on the lake. It’s Steel Lake and Steel Lake Park, all connects.
Hello my friend, yes all is all. Thank you. This is at Steel Lake Park. A great place for BBQ, kids can play, and swim, while you fish for trout, bass, perch or catfish in the lake.
Oh, really? Are there homeless folks living in this area? Seems like a rich neighborhood and I didn't see any homeless during the time I visited. Just wanted to show the world how beautiful it is here, an amazing bridge going over Lake Washington.
Hello Alex, It’s a Nesco brand. It’s been working well all these years. You have the option to seal only or vacuum and seal at once, vs. another sealer that I bought only seals. Thanks for your visit.
I got my Duracell battery from Battery Plus. You can get it from just about anywhere that sells marine batteries. Be sure to tell them that you need a deep cycle/marine battery. They will get the right one for you.
Thanks for this tip. He may have done it already before putting the crabs into the pot. I happened to catch him in the middle of cooking and missed it.
If watching this video doesn’t help, please check other videos on RU-vid. I hope it helps. Otherwise, you may need to check your local auto repair shop.
