Yes the color of the kislux is beautiful and it is a great decision, maybe one day they will add feet and straps. It would be nice to have a bigger bag during the colder months when we have to store gloves, beanies, scarves, etc…
I have bought a LOT of the pieces in my wardrobe on vinted, my cashmere sweaters, some blazers, ralph lauren button ups and down, pants, jeans etc. and i love them. Im eager to think about going second hand shopping in the stores, rather than fast fashion, im working on it-i broke ties with hm, but i want to do it with every fast fashion store. But like i said, im working on it.😊
That’s amazing, it sounds like you’re a pro secondhand shopper! Honestly, I rarely go secondhand shopping in stores because online makes it so easy to filter the search and stuff - but on the other hand when i find a secondhand shop that has clothes that fit and that are of the brands I like then it’s so much fun haha! 😇
@@SiedlerAesthetic not a pro, i had to learn with time, i had a lot of duds😅 but i have learned to search etc😄. And yes, im also a online shopper, but i would love to find some good smaller stores ( i dont like the big stores too much, it overwhelms me).

Awe thank you for the lovely talk! Haha good question - it really depends on the situation haha - when I go for my weekly shop then I bring just your average canvas tote bag. However most of the times when im running other errands and remember that I have to go get something from the shops then I just shove my groceries in whatever bag I’m wearing (yes my Celine Triomphe tote has carried many a groceries lol). I did just buy a longchamp tote to bring in my work bag for those impromptu grocery runs tho haha 😅

Excellent video. The questions I’ve been thinking about lately are why folks need/have brand loyalty or why they rush to buy things that influencers are wearing/hawking. And then I realized they are basically the same question. It;s about aspiration. The wrong emphasis on aspiration is ever present out there- we need to listen to the style narrative that you’re talking about. Cheers Amanda

I completely agree with this approach. And I like to shop second hand/vintage/pre-loved for these items. Recently I wanted a chocolate brown handbag and went to a vintage fair looking for a croc print top handle bag. I left with a pill box type bag. Fabric, but structured with a tortoise shell handle. I rarely wear dark brown and this absolutely fit the bill at a very reasonable price.

I can relate! Handbags (specifically crossbody) Hermes, Loewe and now those Henry’s from D&B. Retro sneakers, boat shoes, cardigans, ball caps and fragrances. Those are most of my weaknesses. 😂

Yes Amanda I do for sure!! And it’s hard when you have many of them. Currently I have been obsessing over footbed sandals, for the comfort is unmatched and there have been some nice designs lately. Thanks for the shout out. P.S. I absolutely love your Hermes silk scarf. It’s gorgeous!

I love using an mz wallace or longchamp neo in my daily life, but when I'm on vacation I like something fuss-free and hands-free so I use the kanken mini. When I'm on a date I like to use the Falor Firenze Londra small basket weave messenger bag. When I'm working I use a variety of different styles of backpacks. I have a variety of *gtdupe* backpacks. The ones I use most are the MZ wallace Madelyn, jujube be zealous, twelvelittle Companion 3.0 and the 13' kanken.
Agreed! Speaking of duffle/Speedy style bags, have you ever seen ETRO bags? The paisley coated canvas with vachetta trim? Or the older Celine ones? I’ve had a couple of Celine Boston bags and I like them better than my speedy, they felt more substantial. Now I’m looking for an ETRO small speedy, vintage. Another brand I’ve recently been noticing is Dooney & Bourke, saw a tiny vintage Speedy in a bright green-so cute! I’ve had my Birkin 35 for 16 years and I think it’s at least tripled in value.
I’ve head about ETRO bags and I’ve browsed their website a few times - and they indeed have some chic bags! I’ve never seen them in real life though - have you seen whether they are of nice quality?? 😇 Totally agree on the older Celine pieces, they feel like great quality and usually are pretty affordable on the preloved market! Dooney & Bourke I’ve never heard of but definitely need to look into them now! And yessss vintage Birkin 35s for the win!!!
Def Dooney & Bourke is preppy girl to the max and I’m here for it, the quality will blow you mind. ETRO yes I have seen, actually owned a couple, they are imo nicer quality material and better craftsmanship than LV. I was in LV recently and boy was I underwhelmed, same with Chanel, why do so many have bad stitching and crooked flaps in the boutique. I’d be embarrassed trying to sell those. I’ll stick to vintage for Chanel or LV
Oh, also Dooney and Bourke Henry’s line, is made with Palladium hardware and the leather is the same taurillon leather that Hermes uses, from the same tannery, and each bag is made by hand, by 1 artisan. I have the Henry’s foldover crossbody and ordering the large crossbody (similar to Evelyne) check them out! I can’t recommend them enough
Oooh it sounds like Dooney and Bourke definitely could be a brand that’s up my alley! I’ll have to look in to this brand now!! And agreed - I’ll stick to vintage LV and Chanel too, I think both the price and quality may be better with this approach 😇

Agree with the basket bag, my friend has one, I carried it around thinking what a joke. All that money for a bag made of straw or grass or whatever… no. Not a neverfull fan either, it leans to femme for me, and literally everyone has them. I like the Garden Party or a Casablanca tote for the summer. The sunglasses are everything, your dad doesn’t get it, sorry dad😂 Also, yes body shape is so important when choosing what colors go where. I have to wear light on the bottom and dark on top because I have a tiny belly. My sister is a pear shape she has to wear dark on bottom and light on top, it balances out the proportions and I think that’s something many people overlook, or don’t know.
Yeah I totally agree - if I had an Hermès Garden Party then I’d rather carry that bag instead of the Neverfull too, I think the oat colored canvas with brown leather accents is so chic for summer but also like all seasons (haha maybe I need one of those..!). Omg thanks for the nice words about my sunglasses!! And yes totally agree that knowing what colors you’re comfortable wearing considering your body shape is key! It has definitely helped me in curating garments for my wardrobe that I actually wear! Have a nice day! 😊
I am getting a lot of wear out of my relaxed fit linen button up shirts and tailored linen (or linen blend) shorts. If I want to dress up the look, I wear strappy kitten heels. Otherwise, I wear pointy toe sling backs. I do adore my basket bags. And I do carry them to the farmers market and get a lot of use out of them that way. I had previously purchased one with brown leather straps and added one with black leather straps this year. I do not have a Neverfull.

@@SiedlerAesthetic I have the Staud Mercato bag and the Mark Cross raffia shoulder bag. The former is lined and the latter isn’t and is also much thinner. The Mercato is a nice heavy weave. I think both bags can go from brunch to the market to the beach and give an elevated summer look while adding tons of practicality. I watched a TikTok by a stylist the other day who said to think of a large summer bag as a layering piece. It adds dimension to your look in summer in the same way clothing layers do in winter. You might like Staud’s Raffua Moon bag or a raffia bucket bag if a large tote isn’t for you. Love your channel!
