I recently got prescribed buspirone to take with my adderall, twice a day. I’m terrified of getting serotonin syndrome. Is that something that you also worried about before combining the two? I know I should trust my doctor but I’m still anxious.
@ladyoftheflowers9781
@ladyoftheflowers9781 2 дня назад
No, it is extremely rare and only happens if you take several meds that increase serotonin at very high doses.

I think the dreams are a good thing. I believe it a sign your nervous system is calming down. Just my thoughts.

The first week sedative it slowed me down too much but after the first week, I was fine. I always worry about things even though honestly comparatively to probably 90% of people I know I have very little to worry about. I’m thankful for that, but I mean, maybe It seems to help me pretty well

Been on buspar one 2 years, I'll never stop taking it. Works great on 30miligrams twice daily. If I get anxiety or panic attack i take another busparone. I hardly ever have to do that.

This video was so helpful, thank you for posting your experience. I just completed my second week and have been adjusting to my new dose, 7.5mg twice a day. My anxiety has definitely increased but I want to push through, especially because I also experience panic attacks with my anxiety. TY for the hopeful response!! <3

I got selected by my previous professor to be a undergraduate TA for the next Bio class bc of my dedication, always asking questions and volunteered to help her with analogies/diagrams to help explain things the other students weren't getting. Im very honored and want to do a good job

Took my first dose today, brain shocks for about 30 minutes once it kicked in. Felt just like the Lexapro withdrawals did. Hopefully this goes away 🤞🏼

Saying something is not addicting is so interesting, because anything can be addicting to someone if they make it that way for themselves!! But I get it’s not like highly addictive like other things. I take it and I like it but if I didn’t take it… unsure. You can still have withdrawals but that doesn’t mean your addicted of course, idk

I think that 15 mg of buspirone is best. I have been with 30 mg, but at that time i also took 30 mg of mirtazapine 😂 with also adhd meds. Right now i have find my coctail. It's now easy to have adhd, ptsd and some other diagnoses. The only problem with buspirone is that sometimes it does not help with physical sympthoms, nightmares or insomnia which is also related to adhd and trauma.

Hey J! I have periods of panic and anxiety and they came back last year. I've been raw dogging it for a while but it's gotten bad and I have to go back on something. I have been on Lexapro twice in the past and it worked but it made me feel terrible each time. I have been putting it off since my anxiety is health-related and it makes me nervous to take anything. I just need some encouragement i guess. How manageable would you say the side effects have been now that you have been on it for a while.

I started taking it 3 months ago. First 5mg, then 10mg, then 15mg. 3x a day. From 10 on i got really dizzy, at 15 worse. The dizziness never goes away, so im back down to 5mg and doing better than on 10 or 15. But to be honest, it is only a little help, maybe 20% less anxiety.

My psychiatrist just put me on 5mg Buspurione for my anxiety. I'm also on 125mg of Zoloft. My fear is Serotonin Syndrome, but Buspurione, according to my psychiatrist, can be taken as needed.

lol buspirone has a way of keeping you awake guess perhaps it tends to keep you active. Also another side effect i noticed is i've had really bad UTI while on a higher dose. i lowered the dosage and everything is fine. It's a rare side effect but some had this type of side effect while on it.

Thank you so much for the update. I have panic attacks at night. It’s centered around fear of not being able to sleep. (Long, boring story.) the only medication I am on is buspirone. I’ve been on it for 3.5 months. I take it regularly, as prescribed. Unfortunately for me, it has not stopped my panic attacks. (Maybe they would be worse without it, who knows.) I have not had any side effects.

Thank you! I stated the same dose last night. I slept good, I was focused today, but feeling a wee bit spacey and tired. One thing that I did notice is that whenever I got off of task, I was able to recognize it and immediately go back on task. And then I just ran out of gas working so now I’m just watching your videos. 😂 thank you so much for making these videos. They are critical for the rest of us people.

I wanted to add that I had to stop after two weeks because I got that really high feeling that you were talking about except it intensified and never went away. That lasted for 2 1/2 days. I called my doctor and he asked me to do a Genetics test. I have the MFTHR gene mutation which causes anxiety, depression, cardiovascular issues, and a bunch of other things. It also does not let me metabolize medication‘s, vaccines, and simple things as aspirin the correct way. However, I wanted to thank you again for making this video because I have watched your videos for months before I even decided to take the medication. your videos are very very valuable for anybody starting this medication. And I just wanted to thank you again.

Thanks for your video, I was put on that same medication and I had the worst vivid nightmare and was afraid to take it any longer and that was on the first day but a few days later I decided to start taking it again and so far I'm only on my second week and haven't had any scary dreams but I experienced the same side affects you did. It did help me with alcohol withdrawals and I was able to quit drinking, and I'm more calmer now.😅
