I started Buspar this week, I’m about 4 days in. Your videos really helped prepare me, though so far I have not had side effects. Btw I love Momo making a guest appearance :) so cute.
@@Pepi86753 what’s your dosage? If I may ask. I got 5mg and I’m only taking 5mg a day even though the doctor recommended I take 2 a day but I’m super new to medication tbh.
@@dixienormus7779 I’m on 15mg a day. I take two 7.5mg tabs. Once in the morning and once at night. My psychiatrist is going to up my dose in early Jan, or at least that was the initial plan. And I don’t mind you asking I’m really open about all this.
Thank you for your videos on Buspar. I have been on 5 mg twice a day and had 2 panic attacks out of nowhere (well when driving - which definitely causes anxiety for me) my Doctor wants me to start increasing it by taking 10 mg in the morning and 5 mg at night for one week and then increasing to 10 mg twice a day. I am nervous about the side effects but I feel like I will do anything to get my anxiety under control. I really appreciate any advice that you have and I really appreciate your honesty with your videos. It really gives me hope so thank you.
I know this sounds weird... but the memory loss, I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing (though memory loss could be problematic in certain circumstances). I think it might be that with your increased level of engagement with life as a result of a decrease in anxiety/depression, you might not mentally record as much the way we tend to when we're in survival mode. Safety feels like not having to remember things if you don't want to. Unfortunately, it does make life difficult in this world -- but maybe this will help you look at the problem as not something that is wrong, but rather something inherently wrong with the demands placed on us by society (to remember so many things). ADHD folx are hunter/gatherers. Wishing you all the best, and thanks for your review. I’ve read that questioning your sexuality while starting busparone can be a red flag for bi polar. Please discuss these thoughts with your doctor. I hope you continue to do well.

I’ve been on buspar for about 5 days. I had a few sips of cider last night and felt a little dizzy plus terrible headache. I don’t think it’s possible to drink alcohol at all. Oh well
I’m almost on month 3 now and my memory is slowly getting better. I had really weird dreams the first month but they went away completely for me after month 1. I hope this helps and I hope it is going well for you!

Check her 1 week update. I do have issues sleeping still due to intense anxiety and have been on it for almost a month. I had one really creepy dream within the past 2 weeks also. And also another very vivid dream the night after. I have to go to bed within 30 minutes of taking it or it wares off and becomes not as easy to sleep. Sometimes if I go to bed in good timing I'll wake up within four hours and my anxiety will spike again. But everyone is different. I've been on it before and it helped it just takes me a long time to adjust to things. I think about 2 months is where I started feeling a lot better and 4 months is where I was at least a little more confident about how well it was working.

I did have insomnia the first couple of weeks but it went away after week 3ish. I have taken children’s melatonin (1mg) occasionally when I was having issues sleeping. I feel like my sleep is better now than it’s ever been (almost 3 months in)
Hi, I am in the middle of my third week. This has been a very challenging experience. At times, I feel like I am going crazy. Half of week 2 was ok, then the rest of it was filled with panic attacks now. I am barely eating, lost 10 pounds, shaking all the time, getting emotional or crying for no reason, etc. Alot of what you said in your videos resonates with me in some way. I guess I am seeking words of encouragement or advice. I have alot of nausea too and aggravation of my gerd, which doesnt help with my appetite. Everything is just beyond difficult and idk if I can keep going with this, especially when it takes the body 2-4 weeks to adjust to this and a month or two on average to feel the affects.
Does buspar help with your social anxiety? Some doctors say it doesn’t but do you think that it really does help? I’m starting it for my severe social phobia
I think buspirone has helped me the most with my social anxiety, but that can be because most of my anxiety comes from social interactions and therefore I notice it more
I’m supposed to start this tonight. Are you still taking it? I’m really nervous! I had a bad reaction to lexapro and only took one dose because it freaked me out.
Good luck! I hope it works well for you. I also had a bad reaction to lexapro and had to get off of it. Buspirone is very mild and I didn’t have any bad side effects! I’m still on it, I’m almost 4 months in and I LOVE it!
Week two on buspirone is kind of weird, and I’ve heard this from multiple people. I was pretty depressed and had no energy on week two. But I’m glad I pushed through because I really started to see major differences during week 4. I hope this helps - good luck!!

@@vidsbyj123 did memory improve ? I’ve prescriptions for pregabalin , cymbalta but didn’t take them. Also tried lexspro and ended in ER (no diagnosis for me. Just a lot of tingling and breathing issues). I’d love buspirone but I have a serious job and I need ma memory😂
Im on Buspar now, 5 days in. I have been experiencing some restlessness or restless leg syndrome. But i think it might be fading because its been less intense starting yesterday
@@breauxdose well its been ok, although i think i might need something stronger for when i have to deal with groups of people, any more than 5 people and i have a really difficult time not panicking

is it normal to start of taking 10 mg 3x a day. it just seems weird to Me. that my first time trying this I have been prescribed 10mg 3x a day.becus from what I've read most people are starting off at 5mg 2x a day or 3x a day
If I remember correctly that’s actually what I started on too! Some people are sensitive and or a bad reaction to drugs that affect serotonin, so it’s safer to start low and go up most of the time
